Nick Young:

bajaden

Hall of Famer
Since were having a thread about every player, why not Nick Young. Jason Jones reported that the Kings have inquired about Young. Nothing against Young, but this confuses me a little, unless they have some other move in the works. Young is a SF that shoots the ball well from beyond the arc. He's OK defensively, but nothing to write home about. We already have Salmons, Greene, and Cisco, so I don't know whats going on.

Young is a good athlete, and he can also play some SG. But if we resign Thornton, and then Young, I think someone has to go. Of course its all speculation at this point.

The only reason I see Young coming to the Kings is if somehow Thornton goes to Chicago or somewhere else. Young is like a bigger Thornton. And so far, we've seen that Reke works better with offensively explosive player who makes their own shots. And that's what Young brings to the table. He's like Salmons and Cisco, a tweener in SG and SF position.

As I mentioned in the other thread, Nick Young makes absolutely not one shred of sense for us unless we lose Thronton, and maybe not even then. He's a selfish one dimensional chucker and we are already a team with too many shooters/scorers and not enough passers.

God No!

Lets just re-sign Dalembert and Thornton and then bring in a veteran 3rd PG (Earl Watson) and call it a day!

Hayes does not make much sense, Barea doesn't make much sense and neither does Nick Young.

We have most of the areas that need addressing covered by re-signing our own key free agents. Lets not change for the sake of changing. Keep what we have and add to it.

Well right now all were doing is reacting to tweets and rumors. Better than having nothing to talk about.

Yeah, I would think he'd only be a backup plan to Thornton. Young is okay, but we have enough players like him.

If Thornton leaves, other than Nick Young, we should try and give Detroit a call for a possible salary relief for them by trading Ben Gordon for Garcia. I don't think Cisco will feel bad. Charlie V is in Detroit.

If Thornton leaves, I'd quickly switch over to Aaron Afflalo.

But Thornton is a restricted free agent, he CAN'T leave unless we let him, and it would be monumentally stupid to do so.
