Nick Fazekas

just an idea, maybe waive wright for this kid?

He spent 28 games (24 starts) with the Tulsa 66ers of the NBA D-League and averaged 19.1 points, 9.9 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 30.5 minutes per game

Dallas might object to us taking him off of their roster. Not sure about that, though. Maybe if we replaced him with a huge bag of sand, ala Indiana Jones, they wouldn't notice.

If it were that simple, I'd say that we should have already waived Wright and re-signed Justin, although Fazekas also seems worth a try.

However, I'm sure that Geoff wants to be able to consider trades which bring us more players back than we send out, so I don't foresee us signing any FAs before the trade deadline has passed. He's not going to want to sign someone, then have to waive them a couple of days later.

OK Larry, this thread made sense.

I would LOVE to get Fazekas in here.. Everyone knows how much I like this guys game!

A lot of the stuff you post is just kind of the stuff that people think "where the hell did that come from?".

Plus there is that draft thread that people tend to use for an update on players.

Another thing is that people might think you are getting way ahead of yourself predicting not only the Kings record, but what their needs will be. It's hard enough to gauge them up to Thursday, but going out on a limb and predicting next year and knowing what our needs will be not to mention how bad our team will be? Just too much man.. It's not a big deal discussing a college player or even a highschool player (BTW I made Jermain Martin up lol), but these one liner threads are kinda.... meh...

I do like to predict as well though. You probably say my whole DeAndre Jordan hype thread about 6 months ago.. Yah... Something I wasn't proud of..

Call me crazy as well, but I think Petrie might take a look at this kid. Especially if we are able to move one of the PG we have for a 2nd rounder. Let's say Lue was traded for a 2nd rounder..... We would have an open roster spot, so why not? Bring the kid into practice, and try him out.

PETRIE, I watched Fazekas play at UNR for a couple years... He totally fits your style of play.. Get'er done!

I have a feeling that Fazekas is very overrated. He has range, but doesn't show signs of being a particularly good shooter, and all the hard stats he's packed up at college won't really translate to the NBA level, because he's so lean, irregular, and unathletic. His rebounding won't translate, his shooting will be even worse against more athletic mobile defenses, and his defense, which was already poor, will be sievelike. Great college player, but a fringe NBA player. Someone will definitely give him a chance because a GM would wonder out loud, "A big who can shoot? That's my guy!" and then be hopelessly disappointed to find out all the liabilities he has that will be exploited at the NBA level. Dallas apparently found that out. The Kings should avoid.

i saw fazekas play in person when he was at nevada....he played against university of the pacific in stockton...i always thought he was overrated in college, i dont know how he would be in the pros
