NFL 2025-2026 Thread

Anyone thinking this was going to be an easy win was delusional. Especially with Kittle going down early, Jennings out, Aiyuk still out. Sea defense is legit and they're likely going to be one of the best units in football this year.

Impressive gritty win with Brock and Bosa stepping up when needed. I'll never look down at a road win in SEA
last butt fumble excluded, Darnold played a really good game running the watered down Kubiak version of the Shanny system and their backs were churning out five yard carries with ease. They should be in the playoff hunt if things don’t go completely off the rails.

Lucky win. Likely 7-9 bound with this O Line. The run blocking was so bad. Seattle had one or two guys in the backfield before our RBs hit the line of scrimmage nearly every play.

This argument is seriously so stupid. Theres not a single good qb that doesn't have quality receivers and weapons around him. A great qb elevates them sure, but not even prime Tom Brady is carrying plumbers to the super bowl

The problem with this core has and always will be the fact that most of our best players are injury prone. It's pretty much been the same thing since Jimmy G got here. When the Niners are healthy, they're a superbowl team. When they aren't, they're not a playoff team.

Exactly a nearly completely lucky win - straight up 3 flies up Game ball to McAffrey for all his 1st downs and hard yards Good thing he played - no way they win without him

The injury prone-ness you're talking about is due to zone and straight up run blocking and smash mouthed running that Shanahan Sr. instilled in son Jr with Broncos run-loving Terrell Davis.

Disagree this team is not a superbowl team when healthy with this secondary - maybe a divisional playoff team at best.

Man, reading through this thread you would think the Niners D just gave up 35 points, 300 yards in the air and 150 on the ground. Sheesh. Get a grip. The defense did what they had to do, only 150 yards in the air and 40 of that was on the last drive of the game. 85 yards on the ground and the longest run was a 9 yard Darnold scramble. Forced 3 fumbles and recovered two of them including the last play that sealed the win. It wasn’t perfect. On offense or defense. It was never going to be, being game 1 on the road in the most hostile road environment in the division. I’d say the Niners played a C game overall. Special Teams F, Defense B, Offense C-. You take that win 10/10, walk away, make corrections and focus on getting another road W against the Saints.

Eh, fine. But SEA is also incredibly good on D and they're always one of the toughest road outs in football. In a massive transition year where we once again lost most of our elite playmakers... you take the W and run with it.

Defense held strong most of the game too. Now, we have 6 weeks until we face a truly worrisome defense again with the Texans on the road.

Bills defense is junk, so much for superbowl aspirations. Meanwhile witness a team who actually bolsters its secondary with talent. 9ers coulda had Nate Wiggins with an easy trade up.
