NFL 2025-2026 Thread

Wow, Trent isn’t even coming out on top of his unnecessary roughness anymore lol

I was expecting him to launch that little guy and he didn’t get him

So 15 yards and didn’t get a show

Like it actually matters. Lol
There’s probably still enough offensive talent to make it to the postseason this year but Brock’s ability to make plays with his legs is going to make that more likely than Mac largely being a classic pocket QB from the 1990s

Defensively it could be a struggle but the Niners had to adjust to not having Fred on the fly so I sorta want to see what Saleh does with a week to check the wreckage.

The hell happened to Puni? Guy was supposed to be the next Iupati and he's out there getting man handled all game.
At least 5 false starts in the game - offensive line - and then the secondary, the real weak link on the team- I was doubtful they were gonna win, but Warner going down pretty much stamped it - that 3rd and 15 rush by Mayfield was the tell....Gipson with a 3 stooges arm tackle clowned, followed by Stout whiffing on an open field Mayfield tackle at 3rd and 15, was the play indicating the game was doomed. The 49ers have been holding on by a thread which snapped with Warner going out, and are now staring at losing 3 or 4 of their next 5. .500 seems likely after week 12. The neglect and incompetence with their secondary is a festering problem that they poorly address every draft and about to breakdown badly into midseason. Will no longer be able to contain it - they've won games thanks to Warner and defense doing just enough - and now will be a cascade failure. The DBs look like cones out there half the time.

Yeah it's shocking how they're still somehow close late in these games where they look so bad. Lynch really needs to go heavy on OL and the secondary in the draft. No need for playmakers right now. When Jones has time, he can make guys like Bourne look like a top receiver. When he has no time, he gets sacked and fumbles at will.

That rush by Mayfield was the KO blow. Had them stopped 3 separate times on that play. They went from needing to punt the ball to scoring a TD in less than a minute due to bad tackling.

Warner going out is such a huge loss. The defense is night and day different without him out there.

Our secondary is actually playing pretty well, despite what divac thinks.

The OL is an utter mess. I see the same regression from Puni, dude had one play where he got absolutely pancaked into a Mac Jones sack.

Overall though, kind of hard to really judge this team fairly. We're just missing all our key cogs in every facet of the game, for a majority of the season.

The offense is mostly playing pretty damn well though. If/when the entire starting skill position crew gets back, we should be in contention for one of the better offenses in football. And going to need it since shoot-outs are going to be the only way for this team to win.
