either way, Lance is toast as a Niner.

He's not melting down......he draws strength from his scrambling.....I liked Purdy in the preseason, but no idea he had this much confidence.....he settled down, steadied the team on offense, and executed.

Is he? Considering how "game manager" is often used to imply a QB has a low ceiling and/or their play caller deserves most of the credit, that could also be read as a compliment. This is Skip though, so it's probably intentionally ambiguous. That way he gets to claim he was right regardless.

I thought how Purdy bounced back in the 2nd half to dominate showed us a ton. Looked a little frantic in the 1st half, taking quite a few chances in the first half for home-run balls that weren't hitting. Settled down, threw a bunch of darts and almost had another freaking amazing TD pass after all the pocket evasion to Aiyuk if he catches the football.

I'm not sure how you don't build on this and let him continue to develop and be the QB1 with a full off-season and training camp under his belt. That's what's absolutely nutty about what he's doing; it's basically with no reps in the off-season AS A ROOKIE

Herbert looked bad....and the Chargers miss a go ahead 28 yard FG mid-4thQ.....managed 3 pts the 2nd half....meanwhile defense gives up 24 pts......
I think idiot Staley getting Williams injured last game was the kicker.....Staley is one of the biggest morons in the NFL.
