49ers are broken man. Shanny and Lynch need to wake up and realize that they have to roll the dice that Lance can be the upside difference maker. Even if he takes some licks, this team is just so wholly average across the board. I don't think they're bad, but Jimmy G starting is probably ends in like 6-8 wins and stuck in purgatory.

My not unbiased POV: Mac took a blindside hit and lost the ball and thought the guy had recovered it, attempted to tackle and end the play. Maybe it's a hold/tripping penalty as it turns out the player did not have the ball, but I don't think that his intention was to injure the guy.
