Falcons defense was swiss cheese.....means the 49ers only need to win 1 of 3 remaining games. for most situations. They are very likely a wild card team playing the Bucs, Cowboys, or Cardinals.

Witherspoon at least flashed for like a half a season. Ambry has been inactive and then a constant burn ward victim. Just nothing there.

All Thomas has is quickness, no physicality, poor reactions, no jumping ability, no recovery speed....Witherspoon at least had physicality, but he was a complete liability like Thomas. Mosley is still out 2 or 3 games. I dont know who's red shirting or 5th or 6th on the depth charts, can't be any worse. What happen to Dontae, he looks a little better at least.

Wonder what his college tape said about him. If it was positive that year off from Covid really tanked his ability.

Seriously, what are the Ravens doing? That decision to go for 2 instead of taking the extra point to tie it may have cost them the playoffs and it's not even the first time this month that they lost a game because they passed up a chance to tie in the final seconds and decided to go for a 2pt conversion instead. They've now lost three in a row by a combined total of 4 points.

It is ridiculous -, kinda like the Chargers coach going for 4th down almost every drive and opportunity......announcer and commentary on Ravens game praised going for it, but they're giving Rodgers too much credit. The Packers are not invincible this year. You'd think you'd learn, but its almost like confirmation bias.

Bucs are in trouble with injuries. Maybe good for 49ers wild card chances (yah right).....Garrapolo would be in serious duress anyway with Bucs and all the top teams - all the defenses look to be too much for the 49ers offense.....
The way the 49ers were playing mid season, making the playoffs is about as good as it gets. They have better playmakers on offense than the Rams overall, but their secondary is no-where near the Rams secondary. I dont think the 49ers are good enough to beat the top teams. - with the suspect offense. Falcons defense was absolutely horrible. These games of late are nice for making the playofffs, but only the Rams was the quality win of the season, and I guess the Vikings to a lesser extent. Early win against the Eagles is helpful now....49ers have tiebreakers on Falcons, Eagles, Vikings, and possible Rams the last game. There is a chance the 49ers could finish with 11 wins....I thought 9 was most probable, but 10 looks like a possibility as well now. If the Seahawks can upset the Rams ,the 49ers have a shot at leaping them.

I don't think anyone is expecting the Niners to make a ton of noise in the playoffs. Just getting there would be a successful season IMO. Especially with their two top corners out for most of the season.

Yeah, the thing about the Niners' injury luck this season is that while it isn't as wide ranging as last season, this year around they keeping having entire position groups wiped out at a time. Last week, the Niners were down to a guy they signed off the street in week two, two rookies, and a slot corner at the corner position. And this week Fred Warner was playing with two converted safeties at linebacker because both other starting linebackers were hurt. There aren't as many injuries but the ones that do happen all seem to happen to one group at once.

The Niners do have momentum on their side, which at this point isn't something you can really say about any non-Packers team in the NFC playoff race. Hell, thanks to the Cardinals forgetting how to play football in December, they're still not mathematically eliminated from taking the division. Since each matchup is a single game, there's no telling what'll happen once you get to the postseason in the NFL, you just have to get there.

Yeah luckily they haven't had a season turning injury like Bosa or Jimmy G getting hurt (sorry SLAB) for a significant amount of time but they've had enough injuries to weaken both sides of the ball at different times during the season but that's probably the case with most teams. I thought the LB play yesterday was pretty solid when you looked at who was out there but Thomas was obviously the weak link in the secondary. If Moseley is out there, he's at least shutting down 1 or 2 of those shots.

Thursday should be interesting. The Niners are kind of a more balanced version of the Titans. Jimmy has been much better than Tannehill this year but both teams are extremely reliant on the running game with the Titans being elite at it when Henry is healthy. Shut it down and it's a roll of the dice if the QB can beat you or not. I like the Niners chances if both teams concentrate on stopping the run and leave it up to the QBs.
