Per @dakasler: Issue of #NBAKings relocation did not come up in Maloof presentation to #NBA owners.
Good to hear. Because they would have been laughed out of the building.
Of course not...just their list of demands BEFORE they bring out the relocation smoking gun again. SmhRyan Lillis @Ryan_Lillis

Wouldn't it be a take it or leave it deal in front of the Maloofs?

Grant is saying that the NBA can't "force" the Maloofs out. But then he says the NBA does have "leverage". I don't give a sh** whether the NBA forces them out or leverages them out. Just get them out. Then Grant says they don't "have" to sell. Well, they didn't "have" to sell the Palms either, but they did, because they were under tremendous financial pressure. They didn't have to sell their beer distributorship, but they did, because they were under financial pressure. I'm tired of this BS.
They defaulted on their loans for the Palms and the banks took them, they didn't sell...that wasn't their choice.Grant is saying that the NBA can't "force" the Maloofs out. I don't understand the purpose of putting them in a room to talk. KJ is not authorized to change anything on the city's end and I would be shocked if he would even consider that anyway. This is a three way party deal and one party is unethical and untrustworthy. You can't enter into a deal with a party you can't trust.
Grant is walking a very, very, very slippery slope right now. He can say that his show is unrelated to the Maloofs or the Kings, etc. but bottom line is he's wearing two hats 24/7 and the biggest one is owned by MSE. I almost feel sorry for him. He can't be very happy about this position.

The only way it makes sense to me is if it's a face-saving situation for the Maloofs.
They defaulted on their loans for the Palms and the banks took them, they didn't sell...that wasn't their choice.
Yes...but they said they still have unresolved issues and can't do the deal...I don't know how much face they can save.
I don't think anyone has said they cannot do the deal. Did I miss something?
Well...not that cut and dry in those words, but they did say there was 'unresolved issues' with the deal and that they couldn't make any money with it. My understanding of all this is: The Maloofs want more control/money...
They want the deal to be on THEIR terms.
In other words...more stalling that would lead to running out of time under the current deal, with the hopes of relocation.
