this is irritating. I don't see why they can't just talk to him on the phone and get this over with sooner. Would be nice to have a resolution one way or the other.

Yeah, no kidding. If we have to go through this same closed-doors BoG meeting pins-and-needles experience for the third time in a row next year, I'm just taking the day off and spending it in a bar.

I will personally drive up to Sacramento for that if it comes to it! This is just too much. But hopfully I'll be driving up for opening day 2015 at the Railyards instead.

Why does the NBA want the mayor to go to NY? Grant thinks the NBA is gonna put a take it or leave it deal in front of the mayor.

Nah, nah, nah. I understand your point completely but KJ in person is a minor force of nature and I'd rather have him there. I suspect he knew he would be necessary in NYC but I think he played a political card to send a message that he thought this issue was between the Maloofs and the NBA. It is to our advantage that he is in NYC but I thought he pulled a cool move.

Maybe KJ tells the Stern there is no reason to go to NY. A deal was agreed to and the Maloofs are backing out. Why agree to something else? You can't negotiate in good faith with owners you can't trust.
