If it's a death in the family, he should disclose that. Other athletes do it all the time...it's perfectly acceptable. His failure to do that only fuels the speculation that he's on the trading block and isn't happy about it, therefore using the "personal reasons" excuse. That's what I think is going on.

Personal reasons are called that for a reason - they're personal. I do not NEED to know why he is not playing. I would like to know, but it really is none of my business. AS long as the coaches & execs know, I have no problem.

Actually, as fans, it is, in a way, our business. It's a public team with public players, and they can't be surprised that many of us want to know what's going on. It's part of the territory when you sign-up to play professional sports. He owes the fans an explanation of his absence.

At some point I will expect Miller to tell us what's going on. The Kings are spiraling out of control, so it's not a good time to lose a starter for mysterious reasons. But if he comes back and starts to play better and more aggressively, all will be forgiven, but not a moment sooner.
Since you aren't a fan of the team anyways, I really doubt Brad cares what you "expect".

Maybe he had a death in the family or a baby being born (most likely from all accounts). What difference does it make to you?

Does it really put you out that he has to be away? Apparently the team is fine with it, so the reason must be valid. Chill out and give the guy some privacy when he needs it.

Wait, you went on about how bad he is and how much you dont like him, then you say its bad that hes gone? Odd.

These people are here to play basketball, not to have private information thrown everywhere, if he wants to tell the world whats going on he will, if he doesnt, thats his business, its as simple as that.

True, I don't care for him as a player, but that doesn't mean that he doesn't owe us a 100% effort and/or explanation of his absence. And most Kings fans agree with that assessment. It's as simple as that.

Obviously you havnt been reading the thread, go back a few pages and research, we would like to know why hes gone, but its not a need to know matter right now.

Couldn't agree more. If he is injured, that information should be public knowledge. But if it's "personal", it's personal. Wish him the best and see you when you return. No explanations need!

This is pretty much the truth.

Unfortunately, tabloids, papparazzi and certain blabbermouth celebrities have given people the notion that they have a "right" to know everything about celebrities and sports figures. Actually they don't.

Unless I hear otherwise, I presume the team is accomodating a legitimate request from Brad. I wouldn't want my boss telling everyone in the office the details of my health or family situation. All my co-workers and clients need to know is that I am out on leave.

We do not own these players lives. Or was the amendment banning slavery repealed when I wasn't looking?

Don't need to. I'll voice MY opinion...don't need to know what everyone else thinks...Bottom line is this: Miller needs to let us know why he's missing games. It's a very simple concept, folks.

Personal reasons are usually called personal reasons for a reason. It's not fair to pry into a person's life for information like that. I mean face it, the NBA is Brad's job and his personal issues are a part of his life. It could be a kid getting sick, a family member like his mom getting sick, his wife could've had a baby, we don't know. But the NBA is his job and he works to play BBall, not to be part of a soap opera. If he wants his reasons kept private than what is your problem with that?

Sure ya do, you said the Kings fans agree that we need to know why hes gone, obviously they dont if you look at the past few pages, YOUR opinion if fine by me but its simply not the same as most of the people here.

Personal reasons are just that, personal. Since this thread has deterioted to a NoNewArena personal crusade thread, I'm locking it. When, and if, his reasons become public knowledge, we can discuss it at that time.
