Just my opinion. Sacramento Senators was an example.

Like Slim said, people include Minneapolis Laker's Championship Lakers with the current LA Lakers. I doubt anyone in LA would know that the Minneapolis Lakers existed if the Lakers changed their name to Los Angeles Surf Waves or something. I HATE that we have a rich history with Rochester yet its esoteric with NBA fans.

This also play into the larger inferiority complex associated with Sacramento.

It doesn't matter. They are keeping the name and I'm fine with that. But pick an identity and stick to it. I hope they focus on the glory years, fan support, and as KJ said "doing what they said could not be done." LLTK
