Nets @ Kings Game Thread

That's why the season ending injury to Nets excellent starting center Nenad Kristic was devastating for them.

I guess when you start a rookie and a 2nd year player as your two frontcourt bigs, then it leaves a lot to be desired. On that note, whatever happened to Jamaal Magloire?

has anyone ever seen that Jack Daniels commercial they play during the Kings games....I think Brad MIller got a second job!:p

haha why is everyone hatin on boone, id rather have him then mikki.. actually i think i rather have boone and williams over miller and mikki.. maybe.. maybe

Mikki hits his FTs, he takes a charge, and he's good for six hard fouls. Boone ... ... ...

Sorry, I've got nothing.

Well, I guess I could say I'd rather have the aging gracefully Jason Kidd over Mike Bibby at the point but... Kidd just said his team as currently constructed was "doomed to mediocrity" which resulted in their GM Thorn going nuts. I don't think the Kings are doomed to mediocrity as we were there last year and appear to not like the bitter taste.

To his credit, Ron has really been playing in the flow of the game and contributing positives to the offense. I really got on him about that in the pregame thread, so props to him.

Fun game to watch so far.

Is it strange that they post up Mikki but don't post up Spencer when he's in the game? I thought that was Spencer's game.

I am really enjoying this game. Watching them play like this reminds me why I like basketball so much!

Considering there were a few games this year where I felt like I might have been better off just beating my head against the wall...

Ha that was great. Maybe Williams over Mikki, but not Boone.

Same here, Williams over Moore, no problem, but this is only Boone's second year, and he got few minutes until just lately. So he may be a project, but at least there's still hope.

Not to take this who is better on and on but... I'd rather have Ron Artest than Vince Carter or Richard Jefferson.

I'd rather have Bozo the one-legged monkey or one of his less athletic cousins than Vince Carter.

We did hear that a lot, didn't we? But we never seem to see it. My guess is that it hasn't translated from college to NBA very well.

Mike Bibby is playing very well and he's made Mikki Moore's game better. I'm loving what I'm seeing.

:)

Well the great thing about him being 19 is that there is plenty of time for it to translate to the NBA. Also Vince Carter is the biggest misuse of talent today in the league IMO. He's got the John Salmons sulk going, except his sulk has no rhyme or reason these days. Some days he shows up, but those days are few and far in between. Also 1 more post gets me 1k.

Kings with 97 points and 12 minutes left to play. If you don't like that, you ... deserve to be beaten severely about the head and shoulders with a dead trout.

GO KINGS!!!

Maybe scratch all that talk of trading Bibby. The combination of Bibbs and Beno may be as good as it get at the PG. And maybe Artest should stay as well unless something REALLY good comes back in a trade. Could be I'm just blinded by the style of run gun and defend I'm seeing...:)

Wow, this is quite an offensive display we're putting up. We're not even playing a run'n'gun game, this is all about half-court execution and selectively running.
