NBA Live 2005 - merged

I'm definately buying one, I've had every NBA Live game since '99. I expected it to come out mid-Oct like it usually does, was so happy to find out it's coming out this 29th.

Mad D, no Bluth? Creating him is gonna be 1st on my agenda.

Can anybody tell me what exactly is the Primacy Rating & Hardiness? Doesn't it stand for who is expected to score more? Why's Bibby's primacy much lower than Peja & CWebb, he's the man in crunch time! Which leads me to the question why did they take out the Clutchness rating they had on the older Lives? At least they could give Mike a high rating on that!

Primacy - team's reliability on that player to score
Hardiness - lower it is the more they will get injured

now I know why Webber is so low

they took 40 pts off his dunk lowering it to 50, took 15 off his 3pt, and lowered his passing and his dribbling. This makes little sense because the 3pt shooting and passing dont require mobility you need to run and jump. They highered his jump and left his speed at 73 which makes him one of the fastest PF in the game, which also doesnt make sense.

here's the ratings:

no bluthental
I've bought the past two NBA Lives, but **** like this might drive me to get ESPN...

i got it today around 11:00

The game feel/flow reminds me more of EPSN right now, but I haven't really gotten to play it much since I have class soon.

dunk competition isnt as easy as it looks i kept getting scores in the 30's

ESPN has player personalities.. theres a couple vids on the site.. I kinda like it...although if u reject ron artest on the game, he might kick a trashcan or throw a video monitor at someone ;)

if anybody has live for PS2 could you give us a review? i don't trust those guys on those review sites... i need a normal review from another regular person playing the game to really understand what its like.

same here. it's funny how Kenny "the Jet" Smith talks about when you do the same dunk over and over. that alley-oop is hard. i played it last night for 3 hours and 1 hour before a went to school, and i still haven't completed an alley-oop!!!!!

the game is great. the graphics are good, the gameplay is outstanding, the new features are good, the franchise mode is similar to madden 05, which is really good, the all-star weekend is great, except for the slam dunk contest. it's too complicated and it will probably take about two months to completley get it. but other than that, it's the best basketball game out there

I got NBA Live! haha I finally got a 40 on the dunk I just did. It's pretty hard stuff! I'm with ya on that Mad D ;)

I bought it for gamecube and after playing it for a few hours I became really upset in the product. I experience choppy/laggy gameplay during regular games so much that it cause players to move in slow motion, I've heard this problem also occurs for the PS2. I've been to some game forums and almost every person is experiencing this problem. The only system the slow down doesn't occur in is the XBOX.

Dont get me wrong, the gameplay and player movement is much more realistic compared to any live ever. It's just that I can't believe that they would release the game with such a choppy framerate for systems that are not XBOX. I'm not a wealthy kid I don't have money to buy all these system.

I can't just play allstar mode all the time, I want to play the regular season games too. I feel like I've been cheated out of my money. Just like the time I bought ESPN 2k3 and the game kept freezing up on me ever other time I played.

I can't believe that EA would sell these games knowing that it's almost unplayable. For another year I've been cheated out of a playable basketball game.

I've been getting 50's now with figure 8 between the legs, 360 between the legs, stuffing the whole arm in the basket, no looks etc.

The only thing I'm have trouble with are the 360-720 dunks and the off the shot clock front flip dunk.

I just with EA spent more time on the actual game framerate so I could actually play the regular game without getting a headache

is yours on PS2? or gamecube?

I get a minor slowdown during the popup onscreen stats, 3 point shots, and when calling plays.

But once when I played the audience camera flashes slowed down the game so much I got frustrated and quit.

Lately the slowdown has been minisucle so I've been enjoying the game more.

Hey, since this is about EA Sports games, I have NBA 2004 for the PC. Is there a patch that would have updated rosters that I can download, or do I have to do all of it myself? What a chore. Thanks in advance.
