Does anyone know anything about Tang Zhengdong?? His profile seems pretty impressive according to the nba.com draft profiles.

A member of the CBA All-Rookie team in 2001 after averaging 17.6 points and 12.2 rebounds per game. One of the top rebounders at the 2001 ABCD camp. Just by looking at his stats he seems to have gotten worse :eek:.

A guy who is 7'1" and only averages .6 blocks a game??? We already have one of those...
 
Its just impossible to tell how those kind of stats in that kind of league would transfer over. Does he ever have to play anyone taller than 6'7"? Has he been on the Chinese NT so at least you can compare him in international play?

P.S. What ever happened to that 7'7" monster that was poking around the draft last year?
 
Well i think the thing with most of these international players is that it takes them a very long time to develop. Yao ming was an exception because their was a lot of speculation on him and expectations. But you never know i guess...
 
Last I heard Sun Ming Ming had surgery to stunt his acromegaly. He is still recovering and still plans on making it to the NBA.

And BTW he is almost 7'9"!
