For all the talk about the Pistons being a sleeper team, they've only won one more game than us this year. And Chauncey Billups is really old.

Hawes outplayed D12 down the stretch tonight as Philly is going to beat Hou. Rounding into a real all around contributor at center on a nightly basis.

Shades of Linsanity for second straight game for Hou.

I wouldn't say that he outplayed Dwight as the man still posted 23 points, 15 boards, 6 assists, 2 steals, and 6 blocks.

He did outplay Dwight Howard in the "People Stephen Dislikes" Olympics though.

Asik only playing four minutes confuses me. He may not be playing as well as he was a year ago but he's still better than Terrence Jones, who started in his place.

Maybe; I'll believe it when he does it next year. He had a pretty good season the last time he was up for a contract, too.

And all he needed was for Harden to not play...

Not sure if youv'e checked out Hou much, but there offense just hits a brick wall when those two play together. Neither guy even has a real post game, much less a jumper to create space in the paint. And Harden and Lin make their living off penetration and getting to the line.

Hawes will do anything for a contract. ;)

Hawes has been sneaky solid the last 3 years for Philly. Easy to forget he's just 25 as well. If he holds this production up, he's going to get some consideration for an all-star bid.

Would also make an intriguing front-court mate with Boogie. He's developed in a strong defensive player, a good rebounder, takes good high% shots with being able to space the floor.

Except he's Spencer Hawes. In other words, he's Phil Jackson. In other words, he could talk a long walk off a very short pier for all I care.

Lol Tetsu what's with the massive Hawes hate?

Seem's like it's that one time of the month again when I agree with you :)

I'm really starting to wonder about the trade market for Eric Gordon, there appear to be so many better and cheaper options out there, for teams looking for wing help. Afflalo (who's been killing it), Turner, maybe even Thornton, if he can perform anywhere close to the level he did last night (at least he doesn't have a near max contract).

I know that, with Douglas hurt, the backup PG position is difficult for GSW, but did anybody else think that not resting Curry at all in the fourth was just plain wrong? the guy was on fire in the third and didn't do a damn thing in the fourth. Jackson should've at least tried something when Westbrook went to the bench. make Iggy bring the ball up or something.
