Gerald Green dropped 40 on OKC....unreal how he turned his career around he's averaging similar numbers to Joe Johnson and playing on a better team who would have thought.
I don't think anyone would have thought; I'm still not sure why you thought. In fact, I was kind of hoping that you would parse that statement out some, since Gerald Green and Joe Johnson, aside from both having alliterative names, is not a... readily apparent comparison.

Well it just strange that a guy everyone had as a bust (rightfully so) is having a better year than a guy who made the All-Star team in the East and they both play the same position as massive SG's/fill in SF's they got similar roles on there teams.

#Also Big Al Jefferson since the All-Star break has been a MONSTER averging 27ppg or so dude's having a fantastic season.

#Toronto Raptors bringing back one of the best jersey's imo the purple one's with the Raptor on them for certain games next year.

I suppose I'm not seeing what is strange about a guy who is putting up career numbers having a "better year" than a guy on the downside of his career. This is the best season, by far, that Gerald Green has ever had. And, at twenty-eight, for all we know, it'll be the best season that he'll ever have. Joe Johnson has been at or above that level for over a decade, and is just now starting to come down.

The wording of the post makes it seem like some kind of attempt to covertly bag on the eastern conference. Now, personally, I don't think that Joe Johnson should have been an all-star this season, but it's not as if, had he not been selected, that Green would have gotten to go, so I'm not grokking the point of the comparison.

as much as I'm hoping for Indiana to come out of the East, a rematch of last season's Finals would be AWESOME! those two teams seem to absolutely bring out the best in each other and especially seeing the Spurs' offence operate against Miami's schemes is a thing of true beauty.

mike conley is so impressive to me:
Q&A: Mike Conley on Being Tricky and the ‘Why Not Us?’ Grizzlies said:
Lionel [Hollins] also says you don’t like shooting. Like, you object when the team asks you to shoot more. Is that true? You wouldn’t love to shoot 20 times a night? Everyone wants to shoot more!

Twenty is tough for me. When I see that I shot 12 times, I’m like, “Whoa, man, I’m shooting a lot.” And now it’s 14 or 15 …

Wait … 12 times? There are bench guys who get up 12 shots in 15 garbage-time minutes.

Oh, yeah. I come from playing in Indiana, where we don’t care who’s scoring, or how many shots you get.

So the Indiana romantic team-first basketball thing is still true?

That’s just how it is. It was a culture shock for this season for them to tell me, “Hey, we need you to shoot 17 or 18 times and try to score 18 or 19 points per game.”

I actually feel a bit sorry for the sixers players. I guess if that's what tanking looks like, then no, we are not doing that by any means. We just aren't very good.

Didn't want this to get lost in the Evans thread, but Anthony Davis is having a monster game against Denver! Whoever says this kid is overrated, must have not ever seen him play against any team besides Sacramento.

Joakim Noah is basically locking himself up a All NBA 2nd team spot with his two way play and his teams success, what a treat that Bulls team is to watch it's probably the only thing that keeps me sane after watching some of the garbage we are exposed to game in game out.

Man, San Antonio is getting up in Chicago right now! It's comical how precise their offense is, compared to ours.

Al Jefferson and the Bobcats contiune to surge going to be a battle for the All NBA 3rd team between Hibbert/Al/Cousins

I generally do not carry grudges. There is one exception, however. I will never completely forgive Geoff Petrie for not trading up to get Joakim Noah. I was an ardent supporter of his from day 1 and fought with a number of people here who thought he'd never work out, that he was too mercurial and unpredictable.

Heheheheh. Apparently the Utaz Jazz bought out Jimmer Fredette's contract so he could sign with the Bulls. Oddly enough, I didn't know that.

Jimmer receiving a warm reception when he comes into the game. He hits a smooth three and the crowd loves it. I still think we are, at some point, going to regret letting him go.

God dang Noah!

See some of his passes tonight? The dude is so unselfish. I wish we had him.. I would give him a max contract in a heartbeat.

that game was just ridiculous. the Bulls completely annihilated anything the Rockets were trying to do on offence and made their defence look as if they were playing the Sixers. I now want both a MIA-BKN series and a IND-CHI series.

i want to see a CHI-MIA series.

phil jackson has officially signed a [massive] contract to join the knicks as president of basketball operations. in a vacuum, it sounds like a decent bet for james dolan, but there are few scenarios i can envision in which jackson is able to effectively coexist alongside dolan, and fewer scenarios i can envision in which jackson--a rookie in this capacity--is able to help turn that clusterf*** of a team around within the five year span of his contract. i certainly have difficulty imagining jackson accepting a second contract from the knicks when it's all said and done. the entire experiment is dependent upon a ridiculously wealthy but notoriously meddlesome owner getting out of his own way. personally, i wouldn't take those odds, though i imagine jackson simply had trouble not taking the money...

Word on the Street™ is that Jackson had a "Dolan Clause" written into the contract, which basically says that he gets to walk if Dolan tries to do anything other than sign the checks.

well that would certainly make sense, but i think similar assurances were offered to donnie walsh, and dolan still stepped all over his toes, leading to walsh's eventual resignation. then again, donnie walsh doesn't have the zen master's distinguished resume. i suppose the idea is that phil's 11 rings will be enough to fend off any encroachment from dolan into basketball operations territory... though i wouldn't bet on it, especially if the knicks' prospects don't improve, which seems likely given their lack of financial flexibility and future first round draft picks...

This is not going to be a very enjoyable game for me to watch: my sixth least-favorite team, versus my fourth least-favorite team. What I'd really like to see is for everybody in this game except for Greg Oden to suffer a season-ending injury.

Kris Humphries with a fadeaway to tie it in New Orleans, at the buzzer! Anthony Davis' career-high 40 not enough to win it in regulation.

... and counting. Looks like I picked the wrong player to get a 40/20.
