Congratulations to LeBron James, on becoming the seventh player in NBA history with 10,000 career assists!
- He is second player in NBA history (Magic Johnson) over 6'4" to hand out 10,000 assists, and the only non-point guard.
- He is the second player in NBA history (Chris Paul) with at least 20,000 career points and 10,000 career assists, and the first player with 30,000+ points and 10,000 assists.
- He is the first player in NBA history with 10,000 assists and 10,000 rebounds. Magic Johnson and Jason Kidd are the only other players in NBA history with 10,000 assists and at least 5,000 rebounds.

This is so beautiful I could cry.
The very best thing about LeBron getting his 10,000th assist the other night, is that I don't have to pay attention to the gd lakers again, for at least the rest of the season.

Dont you see the “resurgence”? Leaving out the beginning of this season where kings basically said they aren’t starting him…
points, 3pt %, ft% all declining. Also not pictured are rebounds and blocks also declining. Maybe these nba guys know a lot about the nba and just know very little about the meaning of words that have more than 2 syllables.Bagley's impact stats have been better in Detroit. Basically making him an average bench contributor. Small sample size but I wouldn't call it a resurgence. He's basically just putting the ball in the basket in the paint at an efficiency that rivals his rookie numbers...which have been his best to date.

He's always been capable of scoring points and grabbing rebounds. What remains to be seen is: (1) Can he stay healthy for a full season? (2) Can he consistently convert 3pt shots at an above-average rate? (3) Are his offensive strengths good enough to counteract his defensive weaknesses?
We'll see who wants to commit actual guaranteed dollars to seeing if he can answer those questions. I'm sure he's got a random 6-8 WS season or two in him at some point but that just makes his ceiling Enes Kanter. I'm happy with Donte instead.

I think the Kanter role is the likely career path. 18-20 MPG, beat up on back-up bigs, pop for the occasional big game, but I just don't see where he develops enough on defense not to get totally exposed vs starting level guards/bigs. We're on year 4 now and haven't seen improvement on that front.
I have, at a minimum, seen Bagley show flashes of potential at the defensive end, that are far superior to any defense that I've ever seen Enes Freedom play, at any point of his career. Like, I've seen Enes Freedom play for coaches with good defensive reputations, and still be horrible on defense. Bagley will never be a defensive anchor, but I've at least seen signs that if he's, I dunno, the fourth-best defender on your team, your team's defense might be okay. Offensively, he's probably closer to Clint Capela than Joel Embiid, but there's room for guys like that, too.
I guess my point is that I think that Bagley's ceiling is higher than Enes Freedom, but that may be informed by my very, very low opinion of Enes Freedom.
