Well, I'd say it's a very small segment.
When Merritt Paulson bought the Timbers, he was really buying the Portland Beavers and hoping to get into MLB. Needless to say, Timbers were already well supported and an overdue invite to MLS 2.0 and the Beavers folded shop in the process. I think Sacramento should get MLB long before Portland does.

If I had to guess it's because there are a handful of great locations available with easy access to walking neighborhoods and transit. I'm haven't attended an MLB game in about a decade, and it was a alumni event in Seattle vs. the Sox. Seattle has a beautiful stadium with great sitelines but they have marginal attendance and are largely a visiting fan ballpark like a Clippers game was when I lived in LA. I'd hate to see that here. But damn right I'd go to Red Sox games especially if they were alumni events. Giants too.

I don't trust Portor/Murray/Gordan/Hyland for a second come playoffs (Murray is a wildcard he was great in the bubble), the only 3 players on the squad you can trust are KCP, Bruce Brown and Jokic. The entire leagues elite teams this year look like pretenders or are banged up this is the most wide open I have ever seen the NBA, trade deadline will be huge.
