Name the Artist/Name the Team

The point is the team has changed its philosophy, added a new coach with new ideas and has made defense their new identity and they apparently STILL can't execute in the 4th quarter or make shots when they need to against beatable teams

Absolutely nothing has changed with this Kings team....after 1 game. I'm just saying, much to the dismay of many who may not see it this way, don't expect much until their 4th quarter execution changes.

i don't care for this thread, but the artist is pearl jam, the song is corduroy, and its a good one.

If you don't like the thread, I'll try harder next time. But it really looks as though nothing has changed, except Ron can rebound!

K9 still sucks inside
Kings still have turnovers at meltdowns at inopportune times
Brad is still soft
The bench still is not deep
The list goes on

why should anything have changed? people are setting expectations far too high. we are down one bonzi wells, and up one john salmons. apart from that, the player personnel is largely the same. yes, we have a new coaching staff, but all they can really do is set the tone. the players themselves have to execute, and their collective weaknesses (ie: rebounding, interior defense, ball movement, ball handling) stand out pretty starkly in contrast to those things they do well. as for expectations, the loss to minnesota was one game. what's more, it was the first game of the regular season. if anything, it was a fantastic wake-up call for kings fans. people need to realize that it is gonna be really rough in the early-going. the kings will probably be staring down a sub-.500 record for much of the first few months of the season. its not gonna be easy to adjust to a new head coach, a new system, a new tone, and a consistent rotation that includes guys that weren't consistently in the rotation last season because of injuries, trades, etc. these things take time. that's not to say that the kings will suck this season because of it, but it will, in all likelihood, mean a choppy, sketchy season without much continuity.
