My Proposed Trade...Ciao Brad Miller

In lieu of acquiring KG, and we know those chances are fairly slim, I say there is one player the Kings should acquire...

and isn't obvious too...there are so many diehard Kings on this board where is the post on this already...

the guy the Kings got to get is Joel Pryzbilla.....HE KICKS BUTT....he patrols the paint...controls the boards...catches and finishes....hustles his butt off...great compliment to Artest and cover for Bibby.....capable of 20 rebounds any given night....swats all weak stuff out of there....nicknamed "Wilt-zilla" because he dominates our push-over frontline:

He IS a free agent....July 1st is GO-time....then after the moratorium of two weeks of courting....its get down to business w/sign and trade:

Give Blazers a good character guy in Brad Miller...also it would be beautiful to find away to get Steve Blake too as our new back-up PG...he's a budding star-type player.. The Blazers have an overload of PGs but probably want to keep him....difficult to pry loose anyways....

--------------------------------------------
MY TRADE:
C Brad Miller and G/F Francisco Garcia

trade to Portland Blazers for

newly signed C Joel Pryzbilla and PG Steve Blake.
--------------------------------------------
And if we could find a away to unload Kenny Thomas and get back Darius Miles somehow, I'd be all in favor of that too.

memo to geoff: get errrr done!!!!!!!! :p

Darius Miles? You mean Songaila... Miles was never on the Kings. I like Miles as a player, but he still has attitude problems. In general, hopefully for himself he uses the summer to improve himself.

The blazers can't S&T Pryzbilla because they don't have his full bird rights. They can't give him more than the MLE so you can't trade Brad for him(because Brad makes more anyway).

no i meant miles... he is a sick player... where his minutes would come from is beyond me though....

No, he meant Miles, too. You just read the OP wrong.

He meant "get back" as in, "in return for," not as in "welcome back former King..."

trade probably would be bad.

i just can't see us trading for pryz.he would be a good fit, but i think their salaries are too far apart for the trade to work.i would want jarrett jack instead of blake if we did the trade.

Darius Miles is a bum and even though Sac-town goes for problem players (Artest & Bonzi), this one is not worth getting. The bad outweighs the good by too much in this case.

Bonzi hasn't been a problem since 2003. Fratello stuff was garbage and all Fratello, heck, just ask Bobby Jackson ;).

Artest has been steadily showing he's changing, and I think won't be a wild guy at times anymore.

Bonzi is the only player that has been locked out of the arena by Fratello. He isn't blameless in the whole situation. ;)

Regardless of what happened between Fratello and Bonzi, the most common response from people who knew about the situation has been that they wouldn't mind playing with Bonzi or coaching him. I think that, in and of itself, gives us a peek behind the scenes. And remember, Bobby Jackson has been pretty clear in how he feels about Mike "The Czar" Fratello as have others before him.

Yes he is - why do I think that? Reading the extensive article in the Bee last year about Bonzi and his past, which included Fratello's crap, and was quite clearing of the whole situation. The latest with B-Jax furthering that even more.

So you are saying a guy who has done the following is completely innocent of that whole situation?

-suspended for a couple games for publicly cursing at his coach after he was subbed for
-made an obscene gesture to a fan, his explanation was that he "blacks out sometimes"
-got suspended and fined for a run-in with a ref
-cited for criminal tresspass when he refused to leave a scene of a fight at a nightclub
-and then there's the whole run-in with Fratello

Fratello is a stubborn coach and it's his way or the highway. But I really don't see how Bonzi is completely blameless in the whole ordeal. At least some blame has to be given to him. He has been known to explode when he doesn't get his minutes. It happened in the past, and it happened again last year. So actually he has been a problem as recently as the 2005 season. He is a good teamate, unless he's paired with another knucklehead and then they might get in trouble (i.e. Rasheed, Erik Barkely). Last year he behaved though and seemed to be a positive influence on our younger guys. I hope he keeps it up!

NONE of us know what happened. People who do know have said, more than once, that they don't really have a problem with Bonzi. That says a lot, even if it is between the lines.

The real point, howver, is that Sacramento Kings fans have a tradition of giving players a new slate when they don the uniform. Bonzi hasn't done a thing to dishonor himself or his team OR us. In fact, he was one of the few bright spots in the playoffs. I really think and believe we should let his past die unless there's a real reason to keep bringing it up.
