Trade # 1 : http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=qxm5vxs
Sac out : Patrick Patterson/John Salmons/Jimmer Ferdette
Sac In : Taj Gibson/Richard Hamilton
Trade # 2 : http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=apt5mzg
Sac out : Marcus Thorton
Sac In : Jared Dudley
Resign : Tyreke Evans 4yr/36m
Cole Aldrich 1yr/2m
Our Roster :
PG - Tyreke Evans / Isiah Thomas / Ray Macllum
SG - Ben Mclemore / Richard Hamilton
SF - Jared Dudley / Travis Outlaw
PF - Taj Gibson / Jason Thompson
C - Demarcus Cousins / Chuck Hayes / Cole aldrich
Breakdown : * I think Taj gibson would be a good fit for this team, he plays defense( both individual and team ) and he can block shots, i think he would fit the mold of what mike malone wants to do.
* Richard Hamiltons contract can be terminated if he doesnt want to play for us( if terminated we would have to pick up a cheap free agent or sign an undrafted guy ) he brings a veteran presence, can teach mclemore how to come off screens in the nba and he can still score some.
* Jared dudley could bring exactly what i would want in a SF he can space the floor and is a willing defender. he can also be a good character guy for this team
*** With this team we get floor spacing in the starting lineup for demarcus and tyreke to operate. we have a defender who knows how to rotate and can block shots. we added young veterans who have experience and guys who "dont want to be the guy" bt can fit into a role around our key guys. we have a bench with a change of pace PG in IT, who can score and at times find his teammates and a good 3rd big in jason thompson, he can play 4 or the 5, inside or outside offensively, is a decent rebounder and an almost avg defender. This is more built like a san antonio type of team, with role players and shooters around our "key players" Now i know winning will mostly depend on if our "key guys" take the steps needed to get better and how good will ben mclemore be? also Can tyreke be the pg? - look can tyreke play the 2? yes. can he play the 3? yes. can he play off the ball and make cuts and spot shoot? kind of on the shooting part. bt tyreke is at his best with the ball in his hands creating for himself and for others/ attacking the rim, i wish he would add a floater to his game so he doesnt have to get to the hoop each and every time.. bt his decision making will be the key to his success. BOOM
