I'd rather us just not make the playoffs this season like everyone expects, even though the reality is we still can. It would just be a disappointment to make it that far just to be eliminated early and get nothing (i.e. a chance at a higher draft pick) out of it. I mean didn't most people expect this summer, when Rick was fired, even before we got a new coach hired, that this was going to be a process and we weren't just going to jump right back into the playoffs or semi-finals, let alone finals, in one short season? I'm not saying they can't make the playoffs, but it's very unlikely and there's no point really when you know you're gonna fall out rite away. Not trying to point out the negatives here, but I really see many positives in missing the post season and looking ahead to the draft. I don't think the problem is Muss at all. I actually think he did a really good job in the beginning, but I think something just went wrong with the players as the season progressed. Guys don't seem to execute the set plays, instead, single guys try to take over games, there is crappy shot selection, and Muss is there on the sidelines stomping. Obviously the one man bs and the crappy shot selection are not part of the plays. So I really think it's an issue of guys not executing the plays effectively. This season is a bust but it was expected. I'm looking forward to the next two...hopefully they're still in Sacramento though haha. I really think with time and some new guys in the line up, Kenny gone, Brad off the bench and a new big guy in our starting line up we could be back in this thing. This is just a building process that people who only begun watching the Kings in their best days, like in 2001, can't deal with and don't have the patience to wait for another team like that one to come around again.
