Isn't Bosh going to become a free agent in 2010? What's the point of trading away our supposed centre of the future in Hawes for a guy who comes off the books in 2010? And to be honest we're giving up alot of youth for him too. For trade number 2, Tyson Chandler is not that worth it. He's nothing without Chris Paul.

Well ideally, if you do make a trade like this, you extend the contract of the player you are trading for (see Kevin Garnett to Boston)...

I would do just the 2nd trade and have Chandler as our defensive guy. Chandler shouldn't have a problem catching lobs from Rubio (if we get Rubio).

That's an interesting point about lobs. If we get Rubio I'm very excited to see how good JT and spence and maybe Donte are at catching lobs and finishing. It would certainly add more colour to the team

I don't care about lobs. They're nicer looking, but that's not the point. Rubio just finds the open guy with crafty passes. As long as he distributes the ball, I don't care how it gets there.

As for the trades...both are at least semi-realistic, they're not some "we'll trade you our garbage so you can improve our team" trades. The Chandler trade could happen. I don't see the Bosh trade happening though. I think the Raptors will try and build around Bosh once more this summer before throwing in the towel on him.

I am sure all of our players can catch lobs but I would do the chandler trade just for defense alone. We have to make sure his injury isnt that bad, we dont need another Shareef situation.

I like both Bosh and Chandler (although the latter doesn't appear to be a Petrie style player) and wouldn't mind giving up a lot to bring both in, especially if we somehow hold onto our fourth pick magically.

But, Chandler's health issues and Bosh's pending free agency are both high risk concerns.

I hate the concept of Petrie style player. We need some tough defesive minded players on the this team-not saying Chandler or Bosh is the answer. But if Petrie keeps picking softies then our team will not go anywhere.

As do I. My "ideal" team is the polar opposite of the Petrie brand. But until roster decisions are made by committee via Kingsfans, we have to take Petrie's tastes into account when considering how likely something is to happen.

Ok, lets see if I've got this straight. To aquire Chris Bosh, who is not a superstar in my opinion, were giving up our starting young center, our backup at the SF and SG positions, our starting SF, the 23rd pick in the first round and our first round pick next year.

With all due respect. Your out of your freaking mind. If done, this would rank right up there with the Ralph Sampson or Derek Smith trades.

Actually..yikes. I kind of read right over the picks and was thinking somehow we got them.

Yeah, when I say I would pass on that deal I mean I would PASS on that deal. Bosh is very good, but he's no franchise player. Meanwhile I'm giving up 3 of my top 5 players, inclduing my center of the future, and throwing in 2 picks, one of them unprotected, for the honor? The person coming back better be LeBron, not a guy not good enoguh to even carry his team to the playoffs in the East.

I'm down for Chandler though.

and the 2010 is unprotected, with our luck it would end up being the #1 pick

I was thinking about future cap space aswell. The trade for Bosh I was
thinking was a good idea maybe exclude one of the picks. But with both trades we have enough cap space in a few years to do a quick rebuild if this does not work out.
