Monta Ellis

ESPN's Chad Ford
Price for No. 6 pick high

"The Warriors are talking to a number of teams about potential trades and it looks like the No. 6 pick in the draft is up for grabs. The cost, however is high. The Warriors want whoever takes the pick to take on the contract of Monta Ellis as part of the deal. If the Warriors keep the pick, they're deciding between Greg Monroe and Ekpe Udoh. My source continues to support what I wrote Tuesday night -- Udoh has the edge."

Would you trade the 5th pick and garcia to the warriors for Monta and #6?

I think I would. Monte and Evans in the backcourt, and we're deadly. Plus we only dropped off one spot for him.

I would do this trade in a heart beat if Cousins is off the board!!! :):):)

I find no use in Monta Ellis. I personally think Kevin Martin is significantly better. And we all know what happened there.

Monta = yes please

I think what Chat (idiot) Ford is saying is that all a team has to do is take on Ellis' salary which was a mirror image of Martin's. We have the capspace, the need for a diverse guard that can play with Tyreke and if we get the sixth pick we can take on aminu or babbit (or plug-in shooter / sf) which the FO has already indicated is a strong possibilty of looking for a shooter. I say play with tyreke because the guard needs handles, the ability to shoot, and the ability to score all come with Ellis. Ellis is also great at defense very active, the last time we played the W's I was pist off because they stole the ball constantly. The warriors forced more turnovers than anyone in the NBA last year and the wing was a big part of that.

*Obvious Aminu not shooter, but extremely talented great defense, rebounds well, and also broke into peoples houses and hurt them.

Kings out -TPE (or nothing) second round pick and Donte OR Cassipi. *I am probably wrong about being able to absorb the salary before July 1st, but teams can agree with this thing called a handshake (its been done).

*Read today kings are considering moving second pick for pick later in the second round with incentives. Seems to something very similar we did last year with Portland. (think it was sacbee.com)

Kings in-Monta #6 pick

Lineup

PG Monta / Udrich
Sg Tyreke / Green
Sf Aminu / Landry
Pf Thompson / Brockness
C Dal / Cousins

Complete, and bench has huge firepower with Landry and Brockness coming in for instant offense and defense respectively

How would we be able to draft Cousins AND Aminu?!

*shakes head* we take away our greatest advantage by putting reke at SG. sweet

Monta is a two guard. He is just shorter than most. He will defend the other teams PGs on the defensive end, and of course the ball will remain in Tyrekes hands.

Ellis had one of the worst 25 ppg seasons in history, and I think he might be too far gone as selfish gunner to really help anyone. He's like Allen Iverson with half the talent.

Considering his salary and game, this might be the worst player in the league to pair with Tyreke.
