mock draft yahoo!!!

I reeaallly want Rubio to declare. I really want the Kings to get him but even if we don't, him declaring pushes somebody else further down to us. That's if we don't get #1

yeah I agree...everytime we get a high lottery pick, it seems to happen in a weak draft class...ie Pervis Ellison, Billy Owens, etc. The more talent that comes out this year the better.

I really want Thabeet if we go big. (Unless we have the #1 of course)
As for PG, none of these top prospects really intrigue me besides Rubio.
I say go big with our #1, and PG with Houstons pick.

6. Golden State. Al-Farouq Aminu, SF, Wake Forest. Aminu does a little bit of everything—he can handle the ball, score, pass and, best of all, defend. Which would make him an odd fit with the Warriors, wouldn’t it?

I actaully would love to have this kid. And, I think we will need a SF next year...

He thinks you must be brilliant. ;)

What you should have done was abuse your mod powers and switch the order of the post. Then SK7 would have been thinking he was the crazy one.

This is why I'll never be allowed to moderate.

...Mad D for mod 2012.

Lousy mock, in my opinion.

1) It was obsolete a matter of hours after it was published, since we slipped into #3.

2) It has us picking a SG, when we already have a pile of people who can play SG: KMartin, Garcia, BJax, Salmons, Douby and I suppose even Udrih. With BJax retiring and Douby being abandoned, we could trade Salmons away and still have enough SGs for the next 4.5 years. That can't be said about any other position.

F/C: JT, Hawes, (hopefully traded) Brad. Worthless and hopefully traded: KT, (semi-expiring) Mikki. Expiring: Shelden. By next year we should be down to JT and Hawes. Unless we're keeping Brad, we need another big, and even if we keep him, he'll be retiring soon... a big should be our #2 priority.

SF: (Hopefully traded) Salmons, Greene, Garcia in a pinch, (expiring) Shelden in an emergency. If we're trading Salmons, we need another SF. #3 priority, or #2 if we can snag a generic F.

PG: We have three bench PGs and no starter. When BJax retires this summer, we will be down to two bench PGs, or one if we don't give Brown another contract. This is our #1 need.

Silly, silly mock.

Yeah, I also thought it was a pretty terrible mock. There's absolutely no way Petrie would choose Harden with Monroe on the board.

I also thought the descriptions were poor. Aminu does a little bit of everything...... uh, a little bit of everything extremely awkwardly and inconsistently at this point.

Budinger at #7? Yeah, good luck with that.

Now, now.

In the late '50s, the Royals sucked, they had the two worst years the franchise has ever been through. Payoff: Oscar Robertson and Bob Boozer. Billy Owens was what the team got for sucking in Sactown, but he immediately turned into Mitch Richmond, and eventually into Chris Webber. Billy Owens carried this franchise for 13 years. What more can you hope for from a single #3 pick?

Ok, Billy Owens eventually turned into Chris Webber...but he still sucked as a player. Maybe we could trade this year's pick since outside of Blake Griffin nobody seems to be a superstar.
