MNF on ESPN

I know it's all about money in sports these days but to have MNF on ESPN just doesn't seem right to me. It's been on ABC so long, why change a good thing. There are still many people in this country who do not have cable so now they can't see the games on monday night. IMO they should have left it on ABC, what do you guys think?

The Sunday Night game is now on NBC instead of ESPN, so its just like they switched the primetime broadcast network game to Sunday and the primetime cable network game to Monday. Not a big deal. Also, people living in the teams' home areas can still watch the Monday night games on local TV.

I really don't care much...but I never watched Sunday night football before on ESPN (unless I had too cuz the Pats were on) because I can't really stand their ESPN NFL crew...so know I'll probably hate it a bit more...but I'll get over it...I am surprised though that NBC picked up a game for Sunday nights...I thought they had a primetime lineup on Sunday nights...oh well...

I'm more upset that ESPN doesn't have Sunday Night Football anymore. I liked that broadcast crew more than the MNF crew. They really talked about the game and shared their knowledge. MNF is more of a spectacle and a discussion of stats and prestige than anything else now. At least SNF on ESPN was pure.

Watch your cable/dish rates go up a buck or two whenever Disney renegotiates their fees with cable and dish companies. They're known to using strong-arm tactics to get what they want (i.e. "Add The Disney Channel to your service or we're pulling ESPN"), so it shouldn't be a shock if the general public bears a brunt of the $1 billion plus per year they bid to the NFL.

I got my bets on a Bob Costas/Bob Trumpy lineup for NBC. And God help us if ESPN keeps Theismann and Maguire in the booth.
