Mikki & Girlfriend in our thoughts

Grant said the reason Mikki was late was due to a miscarriage suffered by his girl friend. The other day in a post game interview he had stated how he just wanted to get home to his fiance - it was very sweetly said. And I was touched by it. He & his girlfriend are in my thoughts and prayers.

The way it was said did infer that it had happened in the recent past. I hadn't heard about it and felt badly for them when I heard it mentioned tonight. Miscarriages can be very, very traumatic physically, mentally and spiritually... like any death it's not something easily recovered from - there are stages of grief - and they may have been in shock when it happened and hadn't yet hit the wall of reality. I am impressed that he stayed with his girlfriend today when she needed him.

Very sad, and my thoughts go out to Mikki and his fiance. I have a good friend and his wife that went through this a couple years ago, it was definitely traumatic, to say the least. But they gave it another shot when the time was right a short time after, and they now have a healthy 1 yr old beautiful baby girl. I dont think it will be long before Mikki and his girlfriend enjoy the beauties of childbirth together

I hope she's doing alright, Mikki missed part of tonights game because she had further complications so he was with her at a local hospital.

That makes me so sad. I hope she is feeling better (physically). I know the emotional side will take time and my thougts are with them during this tough time.
