The Lakers turned down an offer of a 1st Rnd pick for Beasley... there is no way the Kings dont look at that think, "Well, what if we offer Garcia and a 2nd rnd pick to the Wolves, that might work" Then the Kings get they're SF without giving up too much.

Beasley might have the kind of game that the Kings need from SF. He is a scorer with a decent FG% who could possibly be a great scorer. I just wonder if he is a winner or a loser.

Last thing we need is another scorer. Already have so many the ones we have can't all get going. He doesn't play defense either.

I like Beasley, but my SF picks remain the same:
1.) Chandler
2.) AK47
3.) Batum

Add to that a real, rebounding scoring PF and I think this team is (hopefully) on its way. I still think we could be in the mix for either Gasol or another, but we'll see. It would be great to have a veteran, skilled PF to help mentor DMC and possible any future PF draft pick.

If you believe Evans can be a #2 scorer, then of course you don't want a scorer like Beasley. HOWEVER, Evans can only score via layups, so it's unreasonable and unfair to Tyreke to place that expectation on him.

HOWEVER Beasley is insane/a manic-depressive/jacks shots up like they're going our of style/terrible at defense.

We honestly don't need much more rebounding or scoring from the PF position with JT holding down the fort like he is. What we need is an intimidator in the middle, having another scoring big man isn't going to alleviate that problem

Either of the two Kentucky boys (Kidd-Gilchrist/Anthony Davis) would be be a godsend for this team. Winning this lottery would make up for the last 6 years of us getting screwed

Why is it about Reke? The issue is IT/Thornton/Reke/Cousins all look for their shots. Why add a shot seeking, non defensive player to that mix at any position?

We give up 108 pts per with our current lineup and your concern is lack of offense? Lol, wow.

The starting lineup's defense probably improves with Beasley in the lineup just because he's 6'8. Tyreke's defense would improve since he'd be guarding SGs (and those are your own words). Isaiah's defense has been great.

Compare that to Reke at sg, where his PER is 21.6, highest of any position for him by far, and his opponents PER when at sg is 17.0, a far cry from 40.2 he gives up at SF.

Thornton would be on the bench so the starting lineup's offensive balance wouldn't change.

He can be our sixth man.

I like my Offense to come from the bench and Beasley can be had relatively cheap he's basically everything we hoped Greene could be. Adelman could like Chuck Hayes back so that might work straight up.

Beasly will always be the guy drafted after Derrick Rose.
But when Wes Johnson starts ahead of you even if Wolves fans are already pissed at Johnsons' contributions something is wrong.

With that I'll pass on B-Easy

2nd round picks have no draft value and Garcia has no draft value. Why would they trade Beasley for Garcia + a 2nd?

You have to give up value to get value in return. Would you trade your car for a Huffy?

To be fair, he was acquired by Minn for 2 second round picks so sadly his value had been defined. Granted, Miami was trying to clear salary for the Big 3 but I'm not sure he's going to bring much more than that. Also, not sure he's worth much more than that

Because 99% of what he posts is about how Reke is a bad player. Not just a bad PG, but too undersized to play defense at the 3, not enough of a shooter to play the 2. IN this case he says he can only score via layups. Generally he avoids saying plainly he thinks Reke is bad, because he knows how rediculous that sounds, but it's plain what he thinks.

Don't forget he had been busted for drugs and was on suicide watch. You don't think his value is much higher now that he's had a couple good years under his belt?

To the other poster, yeah Isaiah Thomas is obviously valuable now that we have him. Do you think us going around before the season trying to trade the very last pick in the draft would have landed us anyone? Go through the last 10 years of Kings drafts and find me other decent 2nd round players. You wont find many or even none at all.

I'm just saying too many people try and group the players we don't want together to try and get solid players. It just doesn't work that way unless the solid player has some sort of problem or the team is unloading salary. The only guy on our team I can think of with equal trade value as Beasley would be Thornton. Beasley is a better player but Thornton is younger and not as injury prone.

Id be shocked if minny gets anything close to thornton's value.

how about Salmons and Hickson and we get Beasley and take on Darko? Darko's contract not as bad as Salmons.
