What exactly does Stern mean when he says "they have a year to figure it out"? Does the league have the authority to force The Kings to relocate if the arena issue isn't solved? Or is what Stern said just empty words?

Tough to tell at this early date. I would say it's a possible threat because he wants something to get done but if a year goes by and nothing is done yet Kamilos is still trying to make things happen, he'll have a hard time kicking the Maloofs out. I don't think they have that much authority but that's assuming the Maloofs are as committed to Sacramento as we hope they are.

REmember, Stern is an employee of the league owners. I believe in an interview, he once said that Arco is not an acceptable venue to the other owners. I doubt the owners want to do anything that would hurt an owner, but if there is a viable other city?arena, I believe they could force the issue by owners' vote.
