Hall of Famer
Pretty simple tonight. We need to win - whatever it takes. Pushing, showing, scratching, biting, complaining, diving, yelling, - whatever it takes. 4 losses in a row - something unheard of in 7 years. No need to start now.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
BSPN broadcast - You figure it out.Do not know about You but personally, I would not mind sleeping better tonight for a change. Kings are 2-4 in the last 6 games scoring 111 ppg and allowing 113.7 ppg. What are the chanches of lowering these averages tonight ? They usually say offense will win games and defense the championships. Does not look like it at the moment.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Talking about King's weaknesses is like beating the dead horse (died 7 years ago). So far they always say - they talk about it and they watch the movie ("day after tomorow" I assume) and then suck again next game. RA just has to stop being nice here. Also what really is beyond my comprehension - the fact that we can get an open shot at any time - and yet we settle for a quick Jumper over and over and over again. Every Kings starter is guilty of that except Miller who would appearently rather shoot a headband than a basketball.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tonight - another shootout at ARCO coral. First to 120 wins unless Kings give it away again. we should be able to match up well and CW as proven Mavs-killer should have a field trip. Unfortunately it is back to back and that makes things uncertain. Brad is back and he needs to make up something. Mavs will create heuge problems at the PG position with the pick and roll. I do not see what we can do about that. We will need ARCO tonight. We need to play for 48 minutes and not 46.5. Would be nice if we rebound once in a while but how realistic is that ?
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
CW - played a great game - yet again - untill that behind the back pass which lead to a Sonic fast break. He is trying everything he can under these circumstances. Must be very frustrating to play on one leg all the time. We seam to be unable to capitalize on ths TD's so maybe if he does not play as well - we will win. (just being pretty desperate at the moment)

Pedja - I want to see more. Good D is nice, shooting 50% is nice too and it is not enough. He needs to bee even more asgressive offensively. Will end up on Dirk tonight (sooner or later).

Brad - You need to stop wearing a head band Brad ! Your chance to make it up tonight. Shut up and play ! (what are the chances of that ?)

Mobley - played well on one leg last night. Could not defend but scored well. Run out of gas late and it hurt us. Needs to pass more.

Mike - Honestly, I am tired of any second or third string PG having a lay up drill every night (Daniels last night). He has got to do something or RA has got to do something. Sometimes we just need a key stop more than a clutch shot.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Darius played well yesterday. Had some great high post passes. Keep it up.

Tag - only one person knows why he did not play more last night.

Barnes - harmeless on both end of the court.

House - nice contribution in a very short time.

Evans - does not look healthy out there.

Martin - it has been a while now.

"Mateen" section
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

RA - he has got to do something.

Rebounding is getting pathetic and talking about it does not help.

He has to consider J-Will treatement again which would be easier with Bobby out there.
He needs - to cut the minutes for the starters. Change substitution patterns. Make a sub early - keep 3 starters on the floor at all times - something.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dallas - will exploit our weaknesses if we let them.Stackhouse, Howard, Terry, Harris - You name it. Somebody will play great - Collison-like performance
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Go Nets !

Sonics play Suns - so You figure it out - I refuse to support any of them.

You Betcha !!!

With you ALL THE WAY !!!

Thank Gawd B-52 is coming back .... we still shoulda had that game last night.

As usual, interesting and good match-ups tonite.

King's definitely need to come out on the WINNING side tonite.

End the Streak .... shut the door at 3

Kings need this one. Marquis and Stack might be out tonight according to some of the Mavs fans. I don't know if that's a bright spot but it can't possibly hurt that some of there players are out.

But, it bothers me that King's fans look at WHO'S NOT PLAYING on our opponents team as an UPLIFTING THOUGHT.

Are we getting "not so confident" or "skeptical" about our King's abilities ???

I'll go out on a limb and answer my own question .... YES

We need a win in more ways then one !!!

GO KINGS!!!!!

i hope webber has at least one leg tonight, we need him big time. i'm also hoping peja has another huge game. miller with fresh legs is always a good thing. he better take some of the slack off webber tonight.

On a good note on espn insider Legler also glaringly agrees that Chris Webber deserved to be on the team. This is not the first article I've read where he deserves to be on the team. Would you guys mind if I posted the Insider Article, I know it's not exactly legal.

With Brad Miller back, the Kings should get more rebounds than last night. Rebounding is the main weakness for the Kings. Also, Kings needs to be more aggressive in trying to draw fouls. They are third in the league at 78% in FTS and they don't shoot enough of them. These last two losses against the Suns and Sonics have been disappointing because Kings have held double digit leads in them, then let the other team come back. Kings have to play better defense in trying to get stops and securing the lead. Hopefully, we get the W tonight. GO KINGS!!!!!

webber, you could fall down sometimes; but
Kings could not afford to fall behind at this critical moment

I agree we have to do WHATEVER it takes for a W tonight...i said i would be happy if they came out of this 2-1...well thats not gonna happen...but i refuse to think they will end the week 0-3...for 4 straight losses

Once upon a time...i actually felt bad for the opposing team when the officials didn't pick up an obvious call...i would say things like "ooo that sucks for them the ref just blew that call" or "that was sucha offensive foul on CWebb and no call"....but now....NOW...i couldn't give a flying &%$*...as many no calls as we've fallen victim to i have absoultely NO SYMPATHY for no calls going against the other team....NONE!

as for the team i have nothing to say really....they know what they gotta do....and if they play ALL 48 minutes the right way....its butter

i will say however that Mr. Miller better have a SPECTACULAR night...he had a game to rest...first time he wasn't in the starting line up all year...he wasn't out there last night...and the rest of the guys definetly missed him...he's gotta lay it all out on the court tonight...in a do or die fashion...i personally wanna see like 20-10-6...maybe 2 blocks and a steal for good measure....if on a team where Brad is lowest scorer in their starting 5...if he gets 20 points or more we win

as for RA...i love you RA...i support you...but i really hope you really got in their faces last night...i remember RA going crazy on them when they were down BIG to Boston when Boston rolled through ARCO...and that lit a fire under their collective butts...hopefully this time it will have the same end result

LETS GO KINGS!

DO YOUR THANG!!

Shouldn't be a problem to CPA ..... (unless there's fine print - then you just create a lnk)

If I'm wrong, somebody please jump in ....

here is the gist anyway.

Rashard Lewis (20 ppg, 5 rpg, 1 apg), on the other hand is suspect. He has had a very good yera. There is no doubt about that. The problem I have with his selection has less to do with his not deserving it than does with who was left off the team.

How can Chris Webber be omitted? The Kings (32-15) have been one of the NBA's elite teams for five years. They haven't slowed down at all this year despite losing Vlade, Divac, Doug Christie and Bobby Jackson, and the main reason has been the play of Webber (20 ppg, 10 rpg, 5 apg).

It is a blatant omission. And don't give me that garbage about the Sonics' great success (32-13). The Kings are in a virtual dead heat with the Sonics yet will not be represented in NBA's showcase event. Webber should be there.

Or how about Shawn Marion? Are coaches trying to say that the Sun's third best player is more important to the Suns than Webber is to the Kings? What a joke.

An another note, what a great behind the back pass by Peja to Cat to save the ball last night. Too bad Cat blew the layup.

^i agree with that Shawn Marion thing...but hey what are you going to do...i mean Marion definetly isn't NON deserving...but to pick their 3 best player and for us not to have 1...ugh

but

whatever....im over that

I don't know I don't agree with Shawn Marion being on the team but he has great stats on top of having great defensive stats. He doesn't play Webber that well but 2.2 steals a game on top of 1.5 blocks a game on top of being 6th in the league in rebounding, I find that a harder omission than Rashard.

And Yao over Miller? Give me a break! Miller averages more rebounds per game than a guy that's 7'6. I'm sorry, but if you are that tall, and can only manage to pull down 8.6 rebounds per game, then you shouldn't be an all-star, much less a starter. But I guess China doesn't think agree with me. I'm not saying I wouldn't like Yao on my team, I just think Miller is more deserving. Plus the Kings are a much better team than Houston, which has 2 starters for the west.

Well, Yao averages 30 MPG which is less than Brad. He should average more Rebounds but I think Brad could average more too. I don't know I don't have a big of a problem with Yao in the game this year but more of a problem last year him starting over Shaq. It's homers man or 10 year olds voting.

Pretty much agree on...whatever it takes to win tonight.

Arco will be rockin'. Kings players, I'm hoping, will be pump.

After last night's game, Rick Adelman was pretty pee off. In the post-game interview, You can tell by the tone of his voice and his answers to reporters were quick and short. Rick usually don't do that so you know how unhappy he was. I'm sure for tonight's game, he'll be telling his players something.

One thing Adelman talked about was Kings needing a rhythm. With key players being out for some time, not much practices and the trade, it's been difficult for the team to have a rhythm going on. Finally with all the players are back this week, they had to face top teams (record-wise) in the NBA. So it's hard to start getting on a roll like that. Kind of reminds me of the first 3 games (Texas roadtrip) this season.

Hope to see a win tonight or else this forum may get out of control. ;)

GOO KINGS!!!!!!

i dont say this very often, but this is about as close as you can get to a "must-win" for the kings in the regular season. they need to build some momentum going into the all star break, and, i'm sure everybody has noticed, the kings have been less than stellar at home so far this season. arco used to be a place oponents feared to enter, cuz we used to rarely lose at home. we need to defend the home court tonight and scrape out a win using whatever means necessary. the bench needs to step up, cuz its quite obvious that even when the starters carry the load, it can still be difficult to win against the elite. darius has played well of late, but evans, barnes, and house are gonna need to pick it up, expecially to make up for our defensive/rebounding weaknesses.

HEY NOTHING but positive and happy thoughts.

Kings 125 / Mavs 118

Should be a fun game. Actually all the last 3 games were great to watch up until we lost.

A NOTE TO ESPN: We do not need 200 camera shots of Cuban yelling in the corner everytime the Mav's make a basket. The one shot you can show is him crying at the end.

This is the end of a tough stretch for a while so lets end it with a W. We play 1 Western Conf team in the next 12 games. Only bad thing is we only have 2 home games in that stretch.

I hope the Kings pull it out and dominate, but if I had to guess based on the previous games so far this season as a reference. I would go with the Mavs. This week is just too tough.

I agree with this 110%. Why bother playing lamed good teams and beating them. It only makes us lazier and unprepared for when these teams do come full strength during playoffs. 3 loses is a wakeup call in my book. This is a home game, the Kings are a wounded animal licking its wound and hungry for a win. Hopefully we break our losing streak here.

Cool its on 10 also, get to listen to Grant. They are playing it on both stations. I noticed, that when we have an ESPN game its also on Comcast or 10.

No Stack and no B Jax, so both teams are without an important piece. Stack is so much better than Finley, it is hard to explain. I thought he would be cancer city when we got him but boy was I wrong.

Should be fun tonight, tonight>Super Bowl.

^i was waiting for you to show up

why did you think Stack was going to be a cancer???

if the season ended right now he's prolly the 6th man of the year...doesn't he have the most points of all the guys who are first off the bench...??

I thought he would be because I fell for his rep, the hype that he was a cancer. Three times in the last four years we have brought in a "cancer." The first one, Nick, worked out well and was a solid citizen here. The next one, Antoine Walker, was a cancer and griped about shots, minutes, and playing out of posiition to accomodate Dirk.

So, I was guarded with Stack. So far, so good.

I am worried about tonight though, it seems like we always get blown out @ Arco at least once a year. You guys have lost some games, you want some revenge from the season opener, and the fact that Shard f'n Lewis made the AS team over Webber is not only an insult but a motivational factor for him to go out on national TV against Dirk and prove that he should have been in the game.

BIG GAME TONIGHT!!!!
