Hasn't Cousins been in love with his jumper since high school? He didn't shoot it at Kentucky because Cal wouldn't let him. Since he's been here Cuz has been taking threes in warmups. Karl is more of a hands-off offense guy by his own admission. I'm of more than half a mind that the threes are more Cousins' idea than Karl's.

I don't really see how either option paints Karl in a positive light. If what you believe is true (And I am disinclined to believe it, myself), then that indicates to me that Karl has no control.

But his decision to play him in a 3 guard lineup is an awful one.

In fairness to Karl he admitted the 2 pg lineup hadn't been working out as well as he had hoped.... time to try THREE! Granted Curry has earned minutes... but I have to laugh to keep from crying that Karl legitimately decided 2 wasn't working so go to 3. Is there a chance he's gone senile? There's a whiff of 4 year old logic in there.

It's not really a lack of control if he's hands-off. If Cousins were terrible from three on the season that would be one thing, but he's actually been very good (this game and by recollection one or two others excepted).

You're welcome to believe Cousins isn't in love with his jump shot, but I'm not certain you've had many opportunities to watch Cuz in warmups. I've seen him in warmups a couple of dozen times, and he works on that jumper a lot. I think all of our previous coaches have reined in Cuz's propensity to shoot it, but I'm pretty sure it's there.
