Mark Cuban Owns Skip Bayless!

Cuban brought up a good point about coaches. Said coaching is the most underrated aspect of winning in this league, and finding a good coach who fits with your team is one of the harder things to do. It flat out sucks hearing another owner(and others feel this way too) tell how important it is to invest in a good coach. He offered Carlisle and extension and wrapped him up for another 4 years I think it was as soon as he was able.

Are you listening Maloofs? If you invest in anything, invest in a goddamn coach!

It is my belief that with the same players we had the last 2 years, with a good coach, we could have been in the playoffs both years. We had/have enough raw player talent for the 8th seed.

sloan is available. :)

dallas had solid team d and nowitzki getting buckets in the paint. OKC on the other hand had nobody that could get buckets in the paint. they relied on jump shots and drives to the cup. jump shots didn't fall and lanes were closed for OKC.

our young team needs structure and roles assigned. there is no pecking order on who is the alpha male.

There's just no way. We all like to overvalue our players, but if you watched most of our games, you'd know that the "talent" wasn't there, but these guys were sloppy, missed open shots, etc. You could have Phil Jackson and Jerry Sloan team together to coach these guys, and we still couldn't be an 8th seed.

Outside of this forum and Sacramento, no one really thinks of Tyreke as a good player, even soon after winning ROY. Joe Harden, Brandon Jennings, and Stephon Curry have consistently even been bigger names than our guys.

This just isn't true. And anyone who thinks Tyreke isn't a good player doesn't know much about basketball. It's odd that some people are obsessed with placing the franchise's problems on the shoulders of Tyreke. Actually, it's more than odd, it's just embarrassing.

We have one superstar in Demarcus.

One B- level star in Tyreke (who's stock could raise at any point).

And 3 decent complimentary players in IT, Thornton and Thompson.

Everyone else is garbage. We aren't even close to sniffing the playoffs until we get a real PG, a solid SF and a Tyreke jumper.

Staying on topic....is owning Skip Bayless really news worthy? The guy makes a living on just saying the opposite of the majority opinion. You really think he belives nearly any of the stuff he says? He'd be just like the rest of the journalists if he went along with the popular opinion.

Is it "news worthy?" Maybe not, but I was not aware that this was being reported as "news." He certainly got what he had coming to him, either way.
