I hope this thread doesn't jinx anyone, I just wanted to know what you guys thought about the distribution of minutes this pre-season thus far. When the preseason began, along with building on-court chemistry, I really thought that maintaining a healthy roster was key for the Kings. So far, we've been able to do that. I know that for consecutive games now we've seen both Rudy and Boogie sit, and we've also seen guys get banged up during play, which is to be expected in any contact sport. Whether it's Rudy Gay shaking off what appeared to be a stubbed finger, or Cousins getting up slowly, I hold my breath just about every time I see a player react that way towards any foul or loose ball. I'm sure many fans share my sentiment as far as being utterly ecstatic about going into the regular season with a healthy roster full of the most talent we have seen in almost a decade.
Did anyone notice Roy Hibbert's hard foul on Kosta Koufos during the 3rd quarter? Though the foul didn't warrant a flagrant call, to me it really seemed like a frustration foul on Roy's part, and Koufos was visibly upset. The Lakers announcers' touched on the matter, and he immediately took a second to gather himself and proceeded to make his way gingerly to the free throw strike. I noticed Koufos kept touching his lower back, and upon seeing the replay of the foul, I could see why. Being that Kosta is such a tough guy, I'm sure it was nothing he wouldn't be able to play through, I just hope I'm right. I just really, really, don't want anything to go wrong this year. In the West, so many things will have to go right for us to be able to make the playoffs, and I would hate for injuries to slow us down.
