I was wondering what our chances are of landing Magloire, and would we be better with him?
Unknown.
The Bucks GM made some remark last weak about being offered junk deals for Mags and how he wasn't just going to give him away. May have been referring to a KT offer from us.![]()
Just a rumor, but apparently some fan with connections in Millwaukee claims Magloire is being traded to portland for Blake, Skinner and Ha seung-jin. I read it on realgm's message board. Take it for what it's worth.
If we were to get Magloire for KT. Would he start at C and play Brad at 4? Man that would be one SLOW frontcourt. Magloire makes no sense to me unless we move Brad. I just don't see him as a bench player and Brad isn't going to come off the bench.

Wouldn't be as slow as the Vlade/Miller pairing was. I'm not even worried about quickness from the big men. If they can rebound and make it tougher to score around the bucket that's more than they've done in past years. Let all these swingmen we have do the heavy running.
Sounds like Magloire is going to the Blazers for nothing. Wow.
I don't know kings113, it's a risk to trade KT for Etan when Etan has only been healthy two out of five seasons and looked comatose last season. His contract isn't better than KT's. I feel like with Kenny at least you know what you're getting.
Not too much risk really -- Etan knows his role and so always has a use. No awkward fit problems. H is not as "good" as Kenny, but he's a much better, and more willing, roleplayer.
If we get the good Etan I agree with you, but there's been one year of Good Etan (contract year) and four years of injured/bad Etan. Given that his deal could end up being just as onerous as KT's, I'm just not so thrilled with that option. I'd rather keep Kenny's durability and rebounding.
I'd rather move Kenny's attitude and lack of role. Sometimes its better to have less talent but better fit. As an aside, injuries aside, you aren;t losing much on the glass from KT to Etan.
This is probably not worth the time posting 'cause there are probably details (lots of them) that I'm overlooking. One of them this is not very likey.
A week ago it was reported that Harrington was going to the Pacers and would be announced later last week. Since then ...........
The Bucks reportatly offered Magloire for Harrington.
The Kings reportatly offered Thomas for Maloire.
According to Hoopshype, Atlanta is well under the salary cap so I don't see what a trade exemption gets them.
Is it possible to somehow construct a three way trade where Thomas ends up in Atlanta, Harrington with the Bucks and Magloire to the Kings?
................and have Atlanta willing?
And for 3 spare parts. Surely there is a team out there that could offer more than PortlandMagloire? He gone to Portland.
