Well since my post turned into a Derick fisher, I'm gonna go back to Luke. Luke is like a Steve Blake I think. I think he has a lot to offer.

Luke wouldn't want to come to the Kings and play 3rd fiddle unless there was some kind of promise that he would start with Evans in the back court, in which I don't think it would work because Luke doesn't play well off the ball. Evans does OK, but we wouldn't be playing to his strengths if we told him to run around without the ball. We need a guy like Beno but better... So look for a player in the mold of Beno who can play on or off the ball. Or a SG with some ball handling skills. We don't need a pure PG unless they have experience with playing with players like Evans I.E. JDUB.

Ridnour is a fine player, but I prefer Beno, and a team with both of them doesnt make a lot of sense.

Our best Bet and what I actually think we are going to do is go young with this open spot we have. I am sure one of the SG from the summer league roster will have a good shot at making it. Then we may go with Ime again or something of that nature. Other than an injury situation those 2 spots will not be used as Beno would get all backup PG duties (like 10 min) then the SG will be split with 4 players Beno,Garcia,Casspi,Greene. Then your SF consist of Garcia, Casspi, and Greene maybe some Landry. So these 2 roster spots unless a legit upgrade over those guys will not see the floor much and it looks as though we aren't going to upgrade just backup.

That's not the point with Fisher obviously. The point would be that he just got done starting for like his 37th championship team and might be the saaviest veteranist winningest "veteran leader" you could import. That in an emergency you could call upon a guy with 5 rings to just step in, bring the ball up, and knock down clutch threes is just icing.

Fisher is the guy you get when you are a team that doesn't really need anything. And really, we don't. Our little nitpicky holes are a 3rd string PG, which Fisher would cover, and maybe some extra distance shooting, which he would again cover. Everything is accounted for. So picking up the vet champion to dispense wisdom to the kiddies on the way out the door is a viable play.

That all really does sound great. The only problem is, he plays for the 7akers. The fact that he plays for the 7akers automatically makes most Kings faithful want nothing to do with him.

Might as well sign Antonio Anderson.. Better version of Udoka, plus he plays well with Evans, and is a better ball handler/passer than Udoka.

I know you love your Antonio Anderson, but you might want to see the guy play more than 15 minutes a season before declaring him better than Udoka, who is at least a clear bench player as he stands.

I am a huge Memphis fan because of my father going there and he was my favorite player on the team with Evans He was a damn good ball handler in college, and played about as well as anyone could play next to Evans. He's got SG size, but lacks an outside shot.. defensively he is just as good as Udoka.

The only things that are suspect is his athleticism, and outside shot. But he does have good length, and is a damn good defender. Same size as Udoka as well..

IMO he isnt a young player like were trying to do. On the Spurs he was like 3rd string, and hes our first string...

I honestly have no clue. The only legitimate beef one should have with him at this point is that he's starting. Beno should stay on our team, but preferably come off the bench to back up Tyreke or on occasion play with Tyreke. But I don't think we need a high level SG that some have been pushing for, i.e. Joe Johnson ... We just need someone who can play defense, hit 3pters and handle the ball at times. In my opinion JJ Redick is a pretty good fit, but again not starter level. Mike Miller has also been mentioned.

Yes yes. I think JJ Redick is who we need. People who say no are crazy. Redick is legit.

IMO it's the contract man I have no problem with Beno as a player, but I really think he is a great oppurtunist. In his first year here if I remember correctly he pretty much beasted making Bibby look expendable finally, but it also got him a nice fat bloated contract.

I personally think he is our great backup change of pace PG he can play the pick/pop or roll game and his midrange jumper is really HIGHER NBA wise than most people think. I just don't see him being our starter at the 2 if we are gonna make any noise in the future. So ulitimately we are paying alot for a backup...

He's been our best shooter for at least a year and that's a valuable thing to have next to Tyreke. I just think they work well together, and he works coming off the bench also. He made strides last year I thought. The nice thing is we addressed our serious problems to the point that we can chew the fat about things like this.
