All-Star
Yes I know...and I’m saying he’s not a “pretty good player”, nor is he now, or then for that matter, worth the #2 pick.
I was gonna say hardens single best skill is getting to the line.Harden is a league manufactured star.
He would be a DeRozen level star if the officials didn't send him to the line every other time down the court for what I consider acting and not actually the game of basketball.
It also describes D'Angelo Russell. Results will vary with all players. Like I've said before, not a fan of the step back shots. You're also over simplifying Harden's MVP campaign. You're seriously suggesting that if we give Doncic 20 shots a game plus free reign to the offense, he could be a 30-9-5 MVP candidate who carries his team to the WCF? come on man. All I said was I don't like him taking those step-back jumpers. He's a 6'8 230lb SF. For being that big and strong, your scoring shouldn't be relied upon step-back 3pters.
Was Lebron and "early bloomer" also? There's many ways Doncic can improve. Shooting consistency, getting leaner/adding muscle, continue to improve in between game, putting more emphasis on defense. One thing that will never change is his elite level basketball IQ.Did i say that he's peaked or can't improve ?? Lol the amount of presumptuous responses i get here in a weeks time is staggering.
Where did i get the idea that Luka's an early bloomer? Do i really need to explain this?
Hayward was very bad early on compared to what Doncic will be IIRC he shot 26% FG's in his first playoff series vs the spurs. Like I said I dont think its a good comp, Hayward was very thin at 19 their not the same.
For Luka to maintain an improvement trajectory anywhere close to Hayward will be quite difficult tho, as Luka's defensive ceiling is lower..

I was just tweaking you a bit.I think most people had him as a top 5 player in that draft at the time but it also wasn't one of the strongest drafts ever.
Strengths: High basketball IQ and 3-point specialist ... Good feel for the game and makes smart plays ... Sharpshooter who’s shooting release and form is mechanically sound ... Silky-smooth and lighting quick release with a soft touch … Has good balance and accuracy on his shot and releases the ball at its highest point ... Nice body control when shooting jumpers and driving/finishing at the rim ... Efficient shooter from the 3-point line (shooting 40 percent on 3-pointers) ... Great floor spacer ... Terrific scoring instincts ... Can hit big shots ... Possesses a deadly step-back jumper ... Makes shots from the corners and at the top of the key ... Strong free throw shooter (shoots north of 80 percent) ... Can hit mid-range jumpers (shooting 52 percent on 2-pointers) ... Tremendous range ... Ability to catch-and-shoot and make shots off the dribble ... Efficient shooter off pick-and-rolls and while coming off screens ... Takes good shots ... High-volume shooter and scorer ... A crafty and instinctual playmaker who can distribute to his teammates ... Willing to make the extra pass around the perimeter ... Unselfish player and wants to get his teammates involved ... Decent ball skills and the ability to drive with either hand ... Makes up for his lack of speed with good ball fakes, jab steps and hesitation dribbles ... Comfortable with attacking closeouts ... Uses screens well to drive the ball ... Does not turn the ball over at a high rate ... Can finish at the rim with powerful dunks and adjust to finish at the basket ... An underrated athlete with surprising leaping ability ... Elevates well off the floor ... Has a decent crossover ... Moves well without the ball and makes timely cuts ... Can run the floor well in transition (sees the floor, makes good passes and can score) ... Effectively uses baseline screens to free himself up for shots ... When his shot is not falling, he shows up in other areas of the game whether it’s rebounding or defending ... At 6-foot-6, 206, he has good strength and size for a two-guard at the next level and resembles a prototypical high-volume NBA long range specialist ... He’s capable of using one or two dribbles and pulling up from 15-18 feet...Can defend and contain players on the perimeter by using his lateral movement ... Smart defender, gives good effort and puts pressure on the ball ... Is rarely out of position on defense ... Uses his hands well to come up with steals and disrupts shots ... Exhibits good closeout speed ... Overall, he’s confident and tough player with a high motor ...
Weaknesses: Lack of an explosive first step makes it dificult to keep defenders from crowding him ... Not an amazing run/jump athlete or physical specimen ... Has a small body frame (wingspan) considering his height ... Gets to the rim and foul line sporadically ... Average ball-handler ... Has not shown great instincts passing out of dribble penetration ... Lacks the strength needed to defend quicker and more athletic players’ dribble penetration through contact ... Needs to get stronger ... Unable to fight well over the top of screens ... Puts his body on the driver as they get inside the arc, resulting in foul trouble ... Could be a bit more aggressive (but controlled) on the defensive end ... He’s not long, as his wingspan is an underwhelming 6’6 ¼ ... Lacks the length to effectively contest shots in the perimeter ... Does not have the highest vertical (35.5 inches) ... Needs to improve his foot speed ... Low steal and block rates ... Does not rebound as well as he should for his size ... Struggles to score on half-court drives ... Very unlikely to penetrate or even seek to penetrate all the way to the rim if the defense is pressuring him with the basketball ... Needs to work on his left hand ... Gets thrown off his game when opponents get physical with him ... Does not create much separation off the bounce … Sometimes fades away on his pull-up jumpers ... Takes contested shots off the dribble … Will have to continue to round out his game so that he can develop into a more complete player at the next level ...
Hes not there for Donic, thats a front.Divac is currently in Madrid, watching Real Madrid and Gran Canaria, if anybody is interested in that news![]()
Watching the finals game
1. euro ball is very physical refs let a lot of stuff go
2. Luka plays with fire every time I’ve watched
3. His skip passes is extremely advanced it usually leads to open shots
Smokescreen........This is in response to the news picking up steam from Amick that the Kings are considering Porter Jr and Bagley too.

It doesn't say they're not taking Luka. It just says they're taking long looks at Bagley and Porter Jr.
Taking long looks at, considering, not ruling out, etc. All standard verbiage for this time of year. I wonder (but am to lazy to check) if Amick's comments were before or after Porter cancelled his Chicago workout.
Every Kings fan assumed that Doncic to the Kings at #2 was a done deal as soon as we moved up. A lot of things are coming out now that the Kings aren't 100% set on anyone yet.It doesn't say they're not taking Luka. It just says they're taking long looks at Bagley and Porter Jr.

This might be one of the most intense drafts in a while..
...I thought getting the #2 pick was supposed to make life less stressful on kings fans.Oh it's interesting alright! How many days left until the draft?
unless you don't pick himCan't go wrong with Doncic.
More jerks!I want some fire. Since Cuz left its been all kumbaya and marshmallows at the campfire. I don't care about being liked and hugs after the game. I want some surly attitudes
I think that's what I liked best about PapaG. He was a jerk who wasn't afraid to kill someone with a screen. More of that please.
As a Latvian I can say Kurucs will be a failure in the NBA, even if he has a chance to make it, after under 16 European championship I thought he would become another top star for team Latvia, but after dissapointing years in Barcelona system, injury after injury and his agent blunders which happened last year... I ain't seeing him succeding in pro basketball, only thing I like... is his shot release which looks like Klay Thompson's from behind.I'm not sure yet honestly, we need a small forward and I love European prospects.
Dzanan Musa or Rodions Kurucs.
Vlade will try to be smart is gonna do something cute with the draft pick and not take tier 1 prospect in Doncic...then Gosh bless his soul, I might fly 5.5 thousand miles to Sacramento just to slap the hell out of him after the draft press conference.
