I was watching the match, the last 5+ minutes of game time (15-20 minutes of actual time) the Doncic trade was the only thing they were talking about. They even had an analyst in sort of split screen to confirm if it's real since at first everybody (like here) thought someone hacked Shams.

Sounds like the Mavs really did want AD. I get the reactions, but AD is still a legit all star/borderline franchise player whereas Butler is at the tail end of his career.
