Hall of Famer
Magic had probably the greatest court vision and passing ability in the history of the game, he was so talented at getting others involved that it didn't matter that he couldn't shoot. Tyreke on the other hand is best creating for himself, he doesn't have the court vision or awareness to consitently create for others, thus his lack of jumpshot is even more glaring. Opponents know that if they pack the paint, Tyreke doesn't have the ability to hit an open shot, or create for others on a regular basis.
You might try watching a Kings game sometime. A guy named Tyreke Evans constantly sets up teammates with wide open shots that they brick at one of the worst rates in the league. Every game this guy Tyreke Evans, an elite NBA penetrator by anyone's standards, gets by defenses geared to stop him numerous times only to see guys like JT/JJ/Hayes bumble dump offs out of bounds or miss easy layups, or to see what up until this weekend was one of the two worst shooting supporting casts in the league brick open shot after open shot. At the end of just about every 1st quarter, when keeping track, this guy Tyreke Evans has set guys up with so many open looks he should have 5-7 asts if his teammates would just convert at a league average rate.
The funny thing about this guy Tyreke Evans, is that even though he repeatedly sets up his teammates, and on numerous occasions should have had 10+ ast nights if only his teammates could convert open shots at a league average rate(really, these guy have been shockingly poor at hitting open shots), the fans of the team he plays on never mention all the open shots his teammates miss which he's set up, even though they're missing at the 2nd worst rate in the league. In fact, the fans of this team Tyreke Evans plays on appear to blame him for the 2nd worst shooting core in the league missing their open shots which he set up. If you get a chance, watch this guy, as he apparently is so good that he can not only set up teammates for open jumpers, but he can magically be in two places at once, receive his own pass and convert for them. When he doesn't, the fans of this team blame him for not using his super powers which allow him to convert shots off his own passes. Truly remarkable.
