Looks like it's a done deal - Peja for Artest

I have a source (VERY reliable) who just told me the deal is imminent. Down to dotting i's and crossing t's at this point. Peja to Indiana for Artest. It is NOT official, however, so some of these people are jumping the gun just a little.

Wow!! Now that it seems like it's finally a done deal, after all my frustration and Peja-bashing, I actually kinda feel bad for Peja right now.

Why???

He wasn't living up to his full potential. Perhaps if he had dove for a few loose balls and not disappeared in the 4th then he might've been a King for life.

Let's see what Larry can do with him.

I think Artest is exactly the king of hard-nosed player to give this team a swift kick in the ...

Great deal.

In Petrie I Trust.

i find it so funny that the kings, who were not seriously considered contenders in the "ron artest saga," are the team to finally end up with him. this is exciting, and scary, news. its an exciting time to be a kings fan. this season, which has amounted to very little for the kigns thus far, just got much more interesting. i'm so stoked to be along for the ride.

Notice the Maloofs waited until after the Peja/Vlade charitabowl to pull the trigger. I guess fans will have to go to Indiana now to bowl with Peja.

hadn't thought of that. It may very well be the last Peja/Vlade charitabowl in Sac, now that neither player will be here.

Peja makes $7.6m this year and Artest only $6.5m so thats about a 16% difference. Whether a 2nd rounder is needed to make it work, don't know. The new CBA may let this go. We should hear tonight.
