Dear friends:
Hello! As many of you know Sportspagemagazine.com covered the WNBA to the best of our abilities this past season. Because of this the league has recognized our website as a legitimate publication and we will be listed in their media guide starting in 2006.
Last season we provided coverage on seven of the leagues 13 WNBA teams. This season, we are hoping to expand that coverage to include as many of the 14 teams as possible.
So I ask you, the many fans that attend games, watch them on TV, promote local teams and the league in helping us achieve that goal.
I know that many of you on this board are loyal fans that also like to write as I have seen in many posts. If any of you have ever had any thoughts or interest in being a writer then this may be a good time for you to show off your hidden talents.
This also includes people who like to take pictures. In this case a digital 35mm SLR camera with a zoom would be needed.
There are many openings available if anyone is interested including two in Sacramento. Unfortunately, there is also no guarantee other then the fact that whomever qualifies, I will do my best to get them approved to cover whatever team is local to them. This can also lead to covering local college sports teams if you are interested.
We also are looking for a person either retired or who may have a lot of open time available in helping to promote our publication.
Please give me a shout at mdavino@sportspagemagazine.com for more details. There is one requirement for covering the WNBA and that is you have to be in college or older. I'm sorry to all of the high school fans.
In ending, I am not here to take anything away from this message borad. There is also a link on my site to this board. I am gratful that the administrators let me post here and I believe that this would be a win win situation for both websites.
Visit our website and look at tons of WNBA info at www.sportspagemagazine.com
Many thanks;
Mike
