So I just finished hooking up a VCR player so I could record things from my DVR onto a VHS tape to keep. ( I know I'm behind the times...VHS how sad)
Among those items were:
1.) The Kings/Jazz Game where Webber had his number retired.
2.) The 2009-2010 NBATV Kings Preview
3.) The first ESPN televised game in 2+ years against Washington with Tyreke getting the game-winning steal and clutch free-throws.
4.) The miracle 35 point comeback against the Bulls.
So I've put the full 20 minute Webber Jersey retirement ceremony as well as the two games and Kings preview on a VHS tape and watched all of them again today while taping them.
It just reminds of of all the good moments we've had as Kings fans over the last year. I really wanted to get Divac's retirement, but here on League Pass they didn't show the ceremony on the broadcast I had available.
But the C-Webb retirement was my favorite moment of last season.
It was great rewatching what the experts were saying about our club this season. Acknowledging that we had talent, but that we'd still be stuck in the cellar in the West and not win many games. We're proving all of them wrong, and if we do get that Defensive Big have an opportunity for a playoff push.
Watching that Wizards game and then the Bulls game just gives me hope for what this team will be able to accomplish not only this year, but in years to come.
After the loss to the Mavericks, I just wanted to remind everyone of where we were just 30 games ago and all that we have to look forward to for a very long time.
Go Kings!
