Lone Bright Spot

Eddie House continued his great play Sunday vs. the Wolves. He has arguably been the most consistent King over the last month. I wish we could find a way to get him more involved. He always brings a tremendous effort with him into EVERY game. Something no other King seems to be able to do. I understand that minutes are limited because he backs up our best player but Mike hasn't been very effective since his back to back game winners. On several occasions I've felt like Eddie outplayed Mike. I was really upset when RA pulled him in the 4th vs. T-Wolves. We cut the lead from 15 to 7 when Eddie came in then Rick pulled him and the rest is history. I really felt like with Eddie running the show we could have come back. So do you guys agree or do you think I'm way off base with this one?

Eddie has played great this past month no doubt, but Mike is known for his late runs in games, maybe Rick thought he would go on a run. I would have probably done the same thing (take eddie and put mike in). But here is no doubt Eddie House has played good this past month, he's improved.

It is very simple. Mike Bibby will play major minutes and finish the games no matter what. End of story

Well I have been a big EH hater since he has been here.

At least this month he has turned his game around. Not sure if he is more comfortable or what but he has been consitant and has impressed me.

I think RA did the right thing as we are talking Bibby here. No matter how EH is playing down the stretch on our team who do you want in? EH or Bibby? Tonight it just didn't work out.

If we had BJax and he was hot I would probably leave him in. EH is no Bjax nor Bibby.

I don't think RA should be blamed for anything. I don't think your off base as its a legit question. Just my .01 cent

is this eddie house? j/k but you really like him huh? i like house and i appreciate his effort and he can really shoot the ball. but mike will always run the show and when bobby comes back i will bet you that we see even less of house.

Still not THAT impressed by House...

Maybe it's a mental block or something. I'll have to check the box score to see what I missed.

lol its not always about the box scores...he is productive for the minutes he gets, the shots he takes, and the hustle he gives...he is very fast, and is always hustling for loose balls and such...he does not HURT the team at all when he comes in for bibby

I think it's the socks hiked up to his waist. That's all I needed to see to know we were in trouble :)

He had 6 pts, 3-3 FG, 3 rebs, 3 asts, NO turnovers, and all of this in 12 minutes.

The guy is good.................... ;)

LOL His knee high socks are classic plus them socks help me spot him across the corner in my living room.

Anyway, the thing I like about EH is that he doesn't try to force the game but let the game come to him and play within the offense. Also, he has a pretty nice stroke.

I give House credit for NOT making mistakes. It's eay to press and make dumb turnovers when you are coming off the bench and don't get that many minutes.

He is playing within himself and making open shots. He is not a natural PG, so I give him credit for working at running the offense.

nice stats.

if house can just play at least 10-12 min a night, giving bibby as much rest as possible, i'll be one happy evenstar :)

After the first couple of weeks I was ready to kick Eddie House to the curb. (I'm on the "Give Smush Parker a Chance" bandwagon, and wanted the Kings to grab him). But after the way he's been performing this past month I'm now all for him getting some more minutes. Play him at 2 guard with our ridiculouslty small lineup, plus, he's listed as a SG.

I have to admit,... I hated House and his selfish style of play (not that he is a selfish person), but wow! he has really worked on his game and it shows. So for Eddie,.. big up yourself... respeckt!

hey! i love those socks.... i love that way of dressing in the nba... longs socks and a head band... drew gooden style bofore he moved to the cavs.... i luv it.. i do it in my comp games as well... :D

Yeah I caught myself thinking that House should stay out there when we came back to within 7 and Bibby subbed in. He was hitting shots and making plays happen. And then 2 seconds later I thought "wait a second, did I just think about Bibby subbing in for Eddie House as being a bad thing?! I've gone crazy!"

Bottom line---Bibby could be 0 for 20 and he will still get the minutes at the end of games because of what he has done for us in the past. House is a good backup PG, but no way should he be playing late in games instead of Bibby (maybe with him though in a small lineup)

I would like to see them together in the backcourt more. Let Mike play a little 2 guard so he can look for his shot more and doesn't have to create everything. Especially when Cuttino's not on. Is there anybody faster than Eddie House in the league? He can fly!

Bibby as an off-guard?

Mainly thinking about when Mobley is on a cold streak like T-Wolves game. When he's on I like the traditional lineup but streaky guys can be a detriment to the team sometimes. We're a small team no matter what so why not try it? I know it seems like an eternity but remember when Bobby played?! I think it helped Mike a lot to not always have to run things and let Bobby or even Doug for that matter handle the ball a little bit . Even if he didn't touch the ball for a couple of possessions he can catch his breath and get his legs under him and be ready for his CLUTCH shots that we all LOVE! In the last minute though I would definitely want the ball in his hands! We need something to spark us and I think Eddie can definitely do it!

The reason Bobby got away with playing OG is because he is a pretty good defender. Bibby is a swinging door with a name on the back sometimes. If moved to OG the Kobes, VC's, T-Mac's etc etc of the world will kill us.
