as for Q..i think he is cocky as all hell...and his ability to actually play the game of basketball is overshadowed by his ability to jack up 3s....just do not like the guy
...but the NBA is so full of hateable guys! And there are different kinds of hate:
"Mocking Scorn" Hatred - for guys like Danny Fortsen and Samaki Walker (is he even in the leage anymore?) who are 1 trick ponies with bad additudes.
"You're Always Killing My Team" Hatred - for opposing players who always seem to play their best against your favorite team, Nick Van Excel being the head of this class. Hoyberg moving up in this category.
"Guys Too Nice to Hate, But You Hate 'Em Anyway" Hatred - Kevin Garnett and Tim Duncan
"Barkely Loves Him, So I Hate Him" Hatred - Manu Ginobli
"SHUT UP! SHUT UP! SHUUTTTT UUUUPPPP!" Hatred - Guys who constantly talk smack against your team, in other words, Shaq and Phil Jackson.
and finally...
"I Really Do Hate You" Hatred - There are a lot of guys in the NBA with questionable character, but Kobe Bryant is a special case. He is always proporting himself to be such a "nice guy, class act, team player" whenever he is interviewed by the media, when all of his behavior both on and off the court expose him to be just the opposite. That deserves a special category. Burn in the Hell of your own making, Kobe.

KG is that rare combination of Great Player/Great Person that's easy to root for, but I HATE the Timberwolves, and since he IS the Timberwolves, I have to hate him too. It's all part of the "Hater's Code". I would also put KG into the "You're Always Killing My Team" category, but he consistently performs at a high level against every team he plays.
btw, new category:
"Team Cancer/Coach Killer's" Hatred - guys whose attitude and behavior hurt their team so severely, you hate them even though they end up helping your favorite team in the standings. Class Valedictorian: Latrell Spreewell (who, btw, came closer than any other player in NBA history to LITERALLY killing his coach) Runner's-Up: Sam Cassell, Vince Carter(Half-Man, Half-an-Effort)

I agree KG is a nice guy. So nice that he beat up rookie Ricky Rickert bcause the rook dunked on him. Real Nice guy. And of course the time when he was going to destroy uswith all those machine guns. Real likable guy.

Yoou know -- have no idea about popping the rook. Wasn't there, no idea if anything was said or whatever. But the machine gun/grenade/whatever thing was pretty overblown. The fact of the matter is he did just what he said he would, came out with guns blazing in that Game 7 and kicked our *** down the stretch. I don't mind that. Kind of Larry Birdesque actually. Didn't denigrate us at all. No "I'm going to spank those Queens right through their skirts" type stuff. Just said he was going to bring it. That's cool -- my response would have been "let's get it on", and if the guy comes through, then its just "good game, see you next time".
Oh yeah .... and Kidd. This guy has to be the most duplicitous player in the league. Latest his agent tells Thorn that Kidd wants to go to Minny and Kidd saying "that's the first I've heard about it". Riiiiight. If I'm a coach and they trade for Kidd I immediately start sending out my resume because it's only a matter of time.

What I remember was from the Pioneer Press. I remember it saying that reportedly Rickert while practicing with Garnett dunked on Garnett. Garnett took offense and punched him and then kicked him out of the gym.
It happened. I remember discussing it with Kingsgurl. The rookie dunked on KG, and then - if I recall - smirked a little about it. KG didn't find it humorous and decked the kid.

Don't be ridiculous; Richard Jefferson is the most overrated player in the NBA by a mile and a half. Followed by Carlos F. Boozer and Amare F. Stoudemire.
And as far as my least favorite player? I'll give you three guesses.
Gonna have to say Nash...gets away with more offensive fouls (with his off hand and setting really blatant screens) and travels more than anyone in the nba...including Shaq imho. I guess he learned it all from Stockton (the fouling and getting away with it part anyways).
