Last Playoffs at Arco ????

Since we have some free time between games, thought I'd raise this topic, which has been on radio of late.

Arguably this series could mark the last playoff games at Arco.

If the Kings slump like the Wolves and miss playoffs a couple years and then move to Vegas......

ouch! Being down 0-2 is painful enough without going here!

I think that theory has a couple problems with it:

1. I don't think we will slump that badly, because I trust Petrie has something up his sleeve. We may not be a serious contender next year either, but I'd bet we make the playoffs.

2. Still think the arena deal will magically be worked out at the 11th hour. Might be that I'm naive and hopelessly optimistic, but I really think somehow it will work out.

3. Really, really don't think the Kings will move to Vegas. They will move if there is no new arena, I think that's a given, but I don't think we're going to see an NBA team in Vegas in the near future. Even for the all star game, the casinos had to agree not to except betting on the game, they are not going to agree to no betting on the NBA regular season/playoffs. Too much $$$ lost.

Well, I think that's getting ahead of ourselves by more than a bit. No real reason for us to slump like that unless Geoff really screws up this summer -- I don't know if he's willing or able to do what it takes to build a champion, but I know he's got the talent base to work with here to keep us in the playoffs at least.

As for going to Vegas -- not going to happen as long as Stern is in control (here he's Sacto's best friend). But KC is still out there, as our others. But that's nto an uncontrolloable thig if you live in Sacto -- put pressure on, get that damn arena built, and there's no more of this silly angst.

The world could also explode tomorrow, and it would be everybody's last playoff game.
First the Kings are down 0-2, and then they might be moving out of Sac, and now you have to go and remind me that the world could explode tomorrow! Geez, what a downer. ;)

Once again, I wasn't saying I thought it would happen or trying to depress anyone. It's been talked about alot on KHTK and other stations so I thought I'd bring it up.

So don't get so down, it's just a discussion

Wow...you have the wildest imagination EVER! I would be willing to lay down any amount of money against...number one...Kings moving to Vegas...and number two, this being our last playoff appearance...NEVER GONNA HAPPEN...PERIOD
