Last Chance For Kings @ Clippers Group Tickets

This is now the final chance for those who want to join the 23 paid KingsFans.com SoCal Chapter folk at the Kings game at the Clippers Saturday, 20 Feb 2010 at the Staples Center

The Clips Group Sales folks need to print tickets and finalize seat allocations for our group so they are pushing/forcing me to make the final payment for what ever quantity of seats we want next week. Then I will go up to Staples Center a few days later to pickup tickets.

They have been super in holding a block of 30 for us so far but I have no idea if they can or will hold them past next week or two.

If you want to go but things are really tight right now, send me a confirmation email including your KingsFans.com handle, your real name and address and how many tickets you will buy. I will then buy them and you will owe me the money not later than 15 January.

Any questions, please give me an input and I'll get right back to you.

Where are we sitting for the Kings @ Clips game?

The KingsFans.com SoCal Chapter will have two complete rows in the yellow section 106 on the seat chart in this link. Just between 105 and 104 is the visitors entry tunnel where we will form a "high five tunnel" for the Kings as they come out on the floor. Sure would like to get more of you to join us. It will be a ball.

Kings marketing have provided us with "BamBams" aka Thunder Sticks, some cow bells, T-shirts for everyone and assorted other goodies to help our KingsFans.com status at the game.

Seems that car pooling is turning out to be the best/most economical solution for us San Diego area folk to get to Staples center.

Once tickets are printed for our group, additional folk are welcome but there is no guarantee you can get the $54 group discount. As the Kings do better and get more press, game interest is increasing and we have really good lower level seats in the corner. So folks..................

My wife and I will be driving North on either I-5 or 405 from Irvine. Not sure where you're located, but if you're on the way we could set something up. We can actually squeeze three people in the back and are willing to provide transporation if there are people on the way.

I don't drink so I'd be the Designated Driver, so you wouldn't have to worry about your own alcohol consumption.

Not sure if setting up potential driving arrangements should be in this thread, or a new thread, or kept to PMs, so the Moderators can make adjustments if necessary.

I'm thoroughly looking forward to this game. It's going to be a blast.

I'd say it's whatever makes you comfortable. I don't think there's a problem at all with using this thread, since it's already the one you guys are using but PMs might be more appropriate when talking about actual addresses, etc.

Great to start talking about carpools for this now.

CruzDude carpool includes Mrs. CruzDude, our daughter and bajaden. I can only take one more as we have a Prius. We are next to Del Mar Race Track

Others in San Diego area are:
Chupacabra - near Miramar MCAS (1)
sdballer - Rancho Bernardo area (2)
shockdoc - Escondido (2)
deekay2o9 - Vista (2)

Everyone else except Unica03 (Irvine) is in the greater LA area including now stevetaebo from Riverside and jdmhv from Edwards AFB area.

Plus we have 2 coming down from Sacto area:

Kennadog from Yuba City and Mike0476 from Sacramento.

Plan is to all meet at one location within a block of Staples Center to get tickets, noise makers and fun Kings stuff then walk to Staples. Will be sending out details in about 2 weeks. We will be going up to Staples center within next 10 days to get the tickets and to scout out a place to meet and parking and such. More soon folks.

MONDAY, 4 JANUARY 2010

Today I placed the final order for 26 KingsFans.com group tickets for the Clippers game at Staples Center on 20 Feb 2010. We will have 13 of 15 seats in rows 16 and 17 in Section 106 at Staples center. That is one section over from the visitors entry tunnel.

Any group ticket requests after this morning will get forwarded to Clippers Group Sales. Amy, in charge of group sales, indicates it is "unlikely" any further orders will get the group rate of $54 for lower level seats as the Kings are now generating increased interest in LA area.

I will pick up the tickets this week and check out the Staples Center locale to pick out a suitable meeting place for our group to meet to get tickets, T-shirts and fun stuff for the game.
