OK, here is one for you. If Phil Jackson, Kobe Bryant, and the Lakers came to Sacramento, would you become a Laker fan?

Oh yeah, this will happen just after the Heaven's Gate mother ship returns with all the followers, wearing their new purple (Kings) sneakers, and lands at half-court ARCO Arena.

You need to stay out of the cave, qd...;)

Matter of fact, I spent several hours down there today bottling Sauvignon Blanc. It was as cold wet as one of those water-slides at the State Fair. Loud too. This is where I do my best thinking.

With those three? I would have to wait until the slime slid off the franchise probably. But eventually going into the future if they were the Sacto team? Er...probably. I'm a long way away and technically there is no REAL reason for me to blindly follow just any team which shoes up in Sacto. But that would be the, or at least a, natural affiliation I suppose.

Back in the mid-80's took me a few years to fully detach from being a semi-Lakers fan in the pre-Kings era and adapt/adopt the Kings in the first place.

omg!!!! sorry!!! i thoght the quesiton asked if u will still be kings fans if kobe and jackson were part of the sacramento kings!!!

plz take that 1 vote away!!!!....

ive commited a mortal sin.... :(

forgive me plz!!!

this poll is waste of time

I would not support lakers if a family member would play there

I voted no, but after Kobe, PJ, everyone else left, maybe in a bunch of years I'd root for them, if they actually started a new tradition grown in Sac.

Then again, I might just become a full-time Warriors fan instead, save myself the hassle of watching a Lakers team.

Look at it this way. At least we have real lakes in the region. We also had more nuggets than Denver. We definitely have as much heat and sun as Miami, at least in the summer. I suppose the Phoenix team is appropriately named. We have hawks, bulls, and hornets. We have the Sacramento Jazz Festival. We just don't have any a-holes that hold a candle to Phil and Kobe.

You see it is precisely because Sacramento lacks certain things like A-grade holes, people love the city. ;)

Funny thread.

No.

I will follow the Kings forever. Wherever.

If the Lakers came to play for Sacramento, the second coming is soon to follow.

Why are we even talking about this. Leave a huge market for a smaller market?? Let alone a market where you're well supported. I think not.

hmmm...

what a horribly polarizing question to ask. i'd really have to think about this one....long and hard.

:(

Since we are currently in hypothetical mode, if Phil Jackson were on fire would anyone here perform a normal bodily function in his direction that might extinguish the flames?

Uh, NO! I might try to get someone to bring a cow over to try the same function, but I'm betting no self respecting Sac Area Cow would even consider it! As for the Lakers moving our way, I'd throw 'em back like a Dodger Home Run at Pac Bell!!

So basically, you're asking, would you pee on Phil Jackson or let him burn to death? Hmm, there's no real losing situation here, but I would probably pee on him, mainly because I don't believe in watching people die, even if it is Phil jackson. Plus, I get to say that I peed on Phil Jackson! And he thanked me for it!!!

On the other hand, you could fart on Phil Jackson and add fuel to the fire...

Thank goodness it's not happening. I would have to be totally drugged to cheer for sacramento even if my favorite players or coach are there.

Some folks outside LA assume that is the normal condition of Angelenos.;)
