Lakers @ Kings Game Thread

Salmons = great value for MLE any day.

19.3 PPG @ 50% FG, 42% 3PT FG, 80% FT for the season? I'll take it. ;)

Two good things happened today....

1. My professor in physiology forgot to bring the finals (literally he was lying down on the faculty bench) and we get more breathing time

2. Lakers got beat by the kings :D

lakers dont feel invincible now huh? pete carrill was there? cool! aura of coachie eh :D
 
I haven’t said this in a long time…Ra.Ra.Sis.Boom.Bah We’re going to the Playoffs Baby! lol JK

What a great game from start to finish. We played with heart, energy, hustle, defense and incredible TEAMWORK! All our players were unselfish, we passed and looked for the open man in all 4 quarters. We desperately needed this win and we got it.

Everytime I see the guy – Pau Gasol is one ugly guy.

1. Great game by John. He was completely unselfish, played really good defense and took it to the hoop when he had an opening.

2. Cisco. Cisco. Cisco…I love this dude. His game is so much fun to watch. He brings so much to this team – especially the energy. I got to meet the guy and he’s cute in person as he’s on TV.

3. Bobby Jackson. Woot…What a game by him. Some incredibly beautiful shots by him.

4. We kept our turnovers down. Beno played really good tonight and he didn’t do that running into 3-4 opponents and commit a turnover.

5. Coachie was in the house!

Cisco kicked butt in first half
Salmons held Kobe even all night, what a
defensive effort he put on Kobe

Plus Jkbiker got on TV tonight!!!
Angela Tsai came right to our seats to
film a spot to help sell the $25.50 Seats
(and you get a subway gift Card or Something)

I was in front Row by Tunnel in Sec 219
With my White Kings Jersey and my Santa Claus Beard
Screaming at the top of my lungs

All of my fellow KingsFans would be proud!

Did anyone see that spot by Angela?

Wow, i just watched espn to catch some highlights and see what they have to say...they show 2 plays that happened at the end of the fourth quarter and thats it. Right after they showed about a 12 play highligth real of the Cavs game. I just wanted to see some hype for the Kings for once but NOOOOOOOOOO. Eh, im used to it by now i guess.

Just got back from the game, amazing vibe in Arco tonight, ton or Lakers fans, disapointed...at the end of the game some dude a Laker jersey who looked kinda like Gasol came up to me and said "good game, you guys did good, congrats" i thought he was beeing sarcastic but his buddies came and joined in, i was confused after the amount of beers i consumed but i told em everything would be ok.

Then in the parkin lot a bunch of LA fans were yellin at us about how we are a crappy team, my respose was "how does it feel to get beat by a crappy team?!" ...no comment by them.

Overall, great night, had fun and we BEAT LA!
 
Yeah lots of Laker Fans talking smack at halftime out in smoking lounge etc saying Kobe is gonna step up and take over game, even though we led by 5-8 pts most of the night we kept on answering back keeping the lead up.

Sick of laker fans saying "were goin to playoffs - Kings suck" etc

Well Laker fans you just got your butt kicked by a team that just lost 8 in a row?

How Embarassing is that!!!!

Well is sure was sweet! Maybe they will kick our butt down in LA
on Friday maybe not, but I dont care right now

They do this every time a big market team loses to a losing squad.
 
"All I'm going to ask is for our players to show their utmost desire to win. Play every game as if it is a championship game. If they do this, most likely we're not going to be blown-out. And hopefully, who knows? We might even win this game."

And they did and we WON the game! :)

Also forgot to mention... I think I had a feeling it wasn't the Laker's night when KCAL9 interviewed Candace Parker in the stands (LA Sparks player and Sheldon's wife). I bet a lot of viewers down here were fairly disheartened to learn that she's a Kings fan. :)
 
We caught the lakers at the right time. They're struggling hard with their defense, especially their pick and roll defense which we did a great job of taking advantage of. Still (and I know I'll catch flak for this) I'll take the woss instead.

I don't know the last game was pretty close, we just couldn't finish. I think we just match up well with them. It helps that Salmons has taken it to Kobe in both games too. Unfortunately we don't match up well with the rest of the league though.

woooooooooah I see that Bobby still plays great against the fakers! He seems to remember the rivalry extremely well! lol
And how about Cisco? Have you ever seen him being that good off the dribble?

I wasn't going out on a limb w/ this one. This is a team for which LA repeatedly shows no respect, they just try to show up in the 2nd half and win thru attrition. They got stung on the arse this time and deserve it. I'm so sick of this phenomenon over the years, that I no longer harbor any ill-will to any "lesser" team that upsets them.
