[LAC/LAL] LA Kobes lost again!!!

Would be nice if it came down to the last game with us for them to make the PO's. I would really take the woss for that one:) Anyone else???:D

Nope. A woss in that game could easily knock us down 3, 4, 5 spots in the draft. Not worth it remotely -- entirely not interested in pyrhhic vitories..

One nice thing could be that the game might end being important to the Lakers in the end, adn hence they will actually play it rather than do the rest everybody for the playoffs bit. So might help us get the lin actually.

I would love to knock the Lakers out. As long as they have Phil and Kobe, I'll hate that team.

But the one flaw in that is, as Brick points out, if they really need that game, and we play like we have all season, we're not going to beat them anyway.

No, but at that point it may not matter to the Lakers either. They are, in the immortal words of Tom Petty (in a song that REALLY bugs me):

And i'm free, free falling.
Yeah i'm free, free falling.

I'd like that scenarios since win, win situations are always easier on the psyche.

With that said, a 6 spot versus a 10 spot vrs. squishing Laker hopes...Down with the Lakers every time.

Would it really make a 6 to 10 spot difference?

It's more like we tie for 6th or 7th, I think. If we end in a tie, we'd all get the same number of ping pong balls.

The only problem I see with the Lakers falling out of the playoffs is, they could get "lucky" and end up with a higher lottery pick then us. Now I'd really hate that!

Check the standing. All of us crap teams are in a dead heat -- its a much more brutal race than anything amongst the payoff teams. half a dozen teams all separated by about 1 game. You simply cannot "win" anymore without dropping draft spots. If we could do both, sure. But...priorities.

Yeah...but...:D

Oh boy...

If we REALLY want to be the Lakers we go for the high draft position. 6 spot gives us somewhat of a chance of getting the top 2, also.

Clips had a shot of knocking them out of the dance on the last day of the 1992 season. One pt Laker win on the shoulders of my boy Sedale, who hit a jumper over a feigning Doc Rivers. Back then they weren't called the Kobies. They were the LA Sedales. Fantastic game. If it should come down to it, and Sac can manage to pull it off, hat's off to ya.

I do like the post warning about LA getting "lucky" in the lottery. I wouldn't mind getting Oden, Durant, or Hibbert.
