Man, my doctoral dissertation is due in a little over a week, but I am still going to my first NBA game on Tuesday. Unfortunately, it's not going to be the Kings-Lakers game. I'm going to see Detroit vs. Cleveland. I hope I don't regret this next week...

Try 70% Laker 'fans'...well, I know 1 person who is an actual Laker FAN that probably won't be there because she's just as annoyed by the idiocy of the modern day LA fan as the rest of us...Hoopsie, am I right??
Edit: I will be 'enjoying' the game from the comforts of my living room couch thank you...no obnoxious people wearing purple and yellow in OUR house screaming stupid, uneducated chants or obscenities!

I'm going. I just hope I'm not going to be sitting right next to a bunch of LA fans. The only LA fan I'll sit next to is my brother. And only because he has sworn to me, on threat of death, that when the Lakers and Kings play, he always roots for the Kings.

It's a crying shame but you are most likely correct. I HATE when the Fakers come here and there are more Faker band wagon rejects than true Kings fans in the house. Only NBA game they go to all year. All decked out in their LA gear that never leaves the closet all year except to go to this game. I am so sick of the Kobe worship! He'll never be MJ. Maybe Lebron or Durrant will be, but Kobe is a jerk, so he is an Anti-Hero. Haven't forgotten the Scarlet letter on his forehead! He is so SMUG too. I hope the Kings bust out a can of whopazz and win by 10. Send all those Sorry Faker band wagon jumpers home with their tail between their legs!! They aren't even fans, just band wagon hangers. If Cleveland wins it all, they will be wearing Lebron Jerseys next year! PATHETIC!

You must've read the recent thread at LG where it was proclaimed that Kobe could average 50 pts a game and avg a triple double....if he -wanted to-.
^ You guys are actually being nice (gasp). A very very very healthy percentage of those fans up there are Kobe/Artest fans. They worship Mamba and would let him anoint them with a hot stream of urine on their naked chests. The Artest camp like Ron's schwag, Ariza wasn't streetwise enough for them. Ron brings hoodalization to the Lakers.
