KZ, Davion, Lyles

Big center?

What can the coaches do with KZ to keep him in the rotation? His shot looks ok from the corner. Does he have to just double down on that shot to keep him from being a non factor on offense? What other tricks could he realistically add to his bag? We keep asking for size and defense on the wing and seem tj have the guy on the roster if he can at least do more than zero on O.

It's tough.
The best I can think is that the diversity created allows for versatility regarding matchups. KZ would not at all be a good matchup vs. Denver.

I think what a lot of people don't realize is that for backups, minutes aren't regular. Like, players average 10 minutes per game because they get 15-20 one game, and then 0 the next. It's all about matchups. If we're going against big 5s, you won't see KZ. If the team has a big wing, but nothing game-changing at the 5, that's when you'll see someone like KZ.

Davion's role and minute distribution remains the same I think minus the offensive production since he isn't really that type of player with this team with Mike. Lyles will be still get his spot minutes based on how he's playing in the time he's in and KZ will basically get those minutes where Brown may feel the starters aren't bringing it on defense or in his words "searching" for a line up that will defend together. Kind of reminds me of the situation in Philly with Matisse. He went from being a starter to a career low 11 minutes per game because he still can't shoot but he has his role and that's all that's expected from him

Low key want Lyles to start at the 4 to add another guy who can put the ball on the floor and drive to the rim if he can't shoot the 3. Murray could do well off the bench with Holmes and KZ.

Those 3 guys get minutes based on situational matchups. Davion is more of a given but his minutes fluctuate depending on if we need his defense. Lyles is back in the rotation now. I think they are being used correctly.

Put KZ when he comes off bench on Lauri to slow him down
